Perched on a grassy cliff top overlooking the lighthouse on St Mary's Island, Old Hartley Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite offers stunning views. With easily accessible local transport, Newcastle City Centre is a stones’ throw from site, and a short journey across the River Tyne will take you to Gateshead. Both of these are popular for restaurants and entertainment, and there’s also a well-known nature reserve nearby where you can discover an abundant bird population. Dogs are welcome on site and there’s a dog-friendly beach ¾ miles away.

Servizi vicini come pub, negozi e parchi giochi.

Given that this is a Caravan And Motorhome Club members only site, the "Rooms" are as good as your caravan/motorhome 😀. The wardens are very helpful and friendly. We arrived later than planned, but they had left us full instructions and had reserved a pitch for us. As to location, the site is very close to the cliffs down to the sea and the views are spectacular. To our right we have St. Mary's Lighthouse and on the left we have an inshore wind farm with the their blades turning gracefully, and you can follow the passage of ships, both large and small, including some yatchs, out at sea in Whitley Bay. A truly wonderous site, it's no wonder that it is heavily booked.

This a fantastic Caravan and Motorhome Club site. The facilities have recently been refurbished to an extremely good standard. Everything about this location is exceptional providing a great base for exploring one of the UK's best coastlines. Whitley Bay is a two and a half mile walk along the Links and on the way you can take a detour to visit the St Mary's Lighthouse. In the other direction lies the quaint village of Seaton Sluice with its historic harbour and beautiful sandy beach. This has to be one of our favourite go to Caravan sites.

Smallish site on clifftop. Can be very windy. Facilities as usual are excellent. Cycle paths to Blyth, and Tynemouth. Very popular site, this was our third attempt at booking.

Great site overlooking the sea. Brand new facilities and great wardens. Some of the pitches slope down so bring levellers.
