Amazing pool, very large, not too busy. You can leave your kit in the changing room whilst you swim.

Lovely pool, it is cold but you get used to it. They have rules at the baby pool, only under 5s - not great if you have 2 children with different ages! You have to book, can spend all day. Bring a padlock if you want to put you personal belongings in a small locker, other items can be left out on the side, feels pretty safe. There's a cafe in the lido didnt get to try. The showers and toilets could be cleaner also quite open. There are individual cubicles next to the pool.

I first visited Tooting Bec Lido in June 2024 and had a really enjoyable experience. It was during the week while children were still at school, so it was much quieter and the atmosphere was very relaxing. I returned in August 2026 and unfortunately had a rather different experience. The lido itself is huge and it’s a lovely place to spend a sunny day. This time we sat in the grassy area under the trees, which was nice and relaxing, and we also appreciated seeing security staff around this area. However, I was disappointed by how poorly maintained some of the surrounding areas seemed. There was quite a lot of litter scattered around the grass, including food packaging and other rubbish. Considering admission is around £10 per person, I think the grounds should be checked and cleaned regularly, particularly before and during opening hours. There are also no sun loungers, so you have to sit or lie either on the grass or on the concrete around the pool. The poolside area was extremely crowded during our visit, with people sitting and lying along the edge, which sometimes made it difficult to walk around or access the pool ladders. The changing facilities were another concern. My partner went to use the changing room and came back saying there was vomit around the sink and on the floor, which was obviously very unpleasant and raised questions about cleanliness. The water was also extremely cold. It was listed as 23.6°C that day, and despite the warm weather we found it difficult to stay in for very long. We were there from around 10am until 2pm but only went into the pool once because of how cold it felt. The grassy area also attracted a lot of bees, particularly whenever people were eating. We tried to eat our sandwiches there but eventually gave up and went back to the café because we were constantly being approached by them. Obviously this is part of being outdoors in summer, but it’s worth keeping in mind if you’re planning to eat on the grass. Overall, Tooting Bec Lido is a unique place with a fantastic large pool and some lovely outdoor space, and I would probably visit again, particularly on a quieter weekday. However, for the admission price, I think cleanliness and maintenance of the grounds and changing facilities could be improved considerably. A few more comfortable seating or lounging options would also make a big difference.

Very disappointed with how we were treated today. My friend and I travelled a long way to visit the lido. I managed to get a valid spare ticket from another visitor and had a wristband, but my friend couldn’t get one and only wanted to stay for about an hour. A member of staff initially understood our situation and let us in, but another male staff member called the manager. Despite me having a valid wristband, the female manager refused to listen and asked security to remove us. We left feeling judged and that nobody tried to understand our situation. It wouldn’t have hurt anyone to let my friend stay for just one hour, especially when I had a valid ticket that had been given to me by another visitor. The lack of understanding and compassion from the male staff member and the female manager was very disappointing.
