Burrs Country Park Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite near Bury, Lancashire offers everything from relaxing river and countryside walks to contemporary art and the East Lancashire Steam Railway nearby. The site is based around the River Irwell and the remains of two cotton mills. There are many interesting archaeological remains and water courses in the area because of this. Burrs Country Park itself is just north of Bury town centre and has handy public transport links to Manchester. Travelling north and east of Bury, you’ll find picturesque countryside with numerous small towns and villages, perfect for exploring on foot.

- IBIan ButterworthMay 19, 20265.0Another fabulous site with friendly helpful staff. The pitches are able size and facilities are spotless. There's a camp shop with all the essentials. The site and so.e.pitches are adjacent to the east lanes railway, where steam trains can be seen running by. There is a large park for walking, cycling and dog walks. The town is a short drive away, and Bury .market is a must for the famous Bury black pudding. We had the best Jersey Milk coffee at the farm ice cream parlour which is a 10 minute walk away.

Getting there on a Friday afternoon encounters a fair amount of traffic as it’s just out of the town centre. There’s also a good stretch of cobbled road to get to the entrance so any rattles you have may get quite loud! 🫣 the staff are lovely and the site spotless with large well spaced pitches. The pub next to the site gets very! Busy so if you want food I would definitely book a table If you’re visiting over a weekend. Actually can’t fault anything …

The East Lancs Railway passes the site with a station. Plenty of walks from the site and about 50min to walk to Bury Market.
- PGPaul GrasbyApr 13, 20265.0What seems at first sight like a bland location is in fact fantastic. Amazing access to walks through the country park and beyond, or into town. The steam railways runs by the site too. A homely pub less than 100 metres from the site, and a welcoming cafe just at the gates too. All in all, really lovely.

Can non-members book campsites online?
Yes, non-members can book selected Club campsites online. Non-members are required to pay an additional supplement of �15 per night to stay upon arrival at site. Tent pitches can also be booked online, there is no non-member supplement to be paid when booking a tent pitch.
Does the Club own any overseas sites?
We work closely with over 310 campsites which are regularly visited and inspected by Club staff. We don't own or directly manage any overseas sites.
How do I book an overseas site?

Do I need a different driving licence for driving a motorhome or towing a caravan?
If you passed your test before 1st January 1997, you are able to drive any combination of car and caravan, or any motorhome with a weight of up to 7500kg (or 8250kg with a trailer). If your licence starts after 1st January 1997 then you can drive a car and caravan with a combined maximum weight of 3500kg (or 4250kg to include a small trailer weighing no more than 750kg). You can also drive a motorhome with a weight of up to 3500kg (with a small trailer of up to 750kg, or a heavier trailer if the combined maximum weight is no more than 3500kg). For all drivers aged 70 and over, the motorhome weight allowance is reduced to 3500kg maximum weight, unless a medical report is supplied.

How do I access the free Wi-Fi?
When you arrive at the campsite, you will be able to access FREE Wi-Fi (for basic browsing and emails only) after registering on the portal. The portal is only available when you are located in the hotspot area on a Club campsite offering Wi-Fi.
Where on the site will the hotspot be located?
The wireless hotspot will be located close to reception. Sharing a limited bandwidth with others may also vary the speed of service with some sites being a distance from the exchange. Our service is suitable for basic web surfing and emails but not updates or streaming e.g. BBC iPlayer and YouTube.
Do I have to be a member to stay on a UK campsite?
Non-members are welcome to book and stay at many of the Club campsites, however there are some that are member-exclusive. This information is available on each individual campsite webpage. Members may bring friends or family too, as long as they stay for the same duration.
How long can you stay on a Club Campsite?
Yes, however, if you have multiple pitch types booked within the duration of your stay, it may not be possible for you to remain on the same pitch for your entire stay. During busy periods you will potentially need to move to the pitch(es) you originally booked.
Can I stay on Club campsites with a tent?
It�s likely that since the Directory was printed, the campsite has withdrawn from our network and so will not appear online. If you feel that there is still an error, please phone us on 01342 327 490.
Can I book different pitch types throughout a stay?

Trailer tents and folding campers are considered the equivalent to a caravan, rather than a tent so they are therefore accepted on Club campsites that wouldn�t normally permit conventional tents. Search for our outfit types page for a comprehensive list of outfit types we welcome.
Are self-build conversions welcome?
Yes, roof top tents are welcome at our Club campsites. Search for our outfit types page for a comprehensive list of outfit types we welcome.
Are trailer tents and folding campers welcome?
Boats aren�t designed to be used for accommodation on land and so, unfortunately, we don�t accept them on our campsites. The only exception to this is Wilderness Boats, which are small canal boats that are purposely designed for dual use on the land and in the water. Are roof top tents welcome?
New members can have online access as little as one hour after joining online. Your email confirmation containing your membership number usually arrives within 48 hours of joining online.
Are boats on trailers welcome?
You can include a joint member to your membership free of charge. Additional family members can be added for �10 each. Joint and family members must live at the same address as the lead member and be over 18 years old.
If I become a member online, how quickly will I be able to book UK Club campsites?
If you are the full member you can amend your membership details under My Profile. You can also amend your membership details, including amending joint or family members, by using Webchat or phoning our membership services line.
