Bunree Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite near Fort William, Scotland is set in a breathtaking location on the banks of Loch Linnie in the Scottish Highlands village of Onich. It is possible to spot cormorants and sea otters in the loch from your pitch while the backdrop of the mountains makes it a beautiful setting. The Club campsite is just ten miles from Fort William, which is often described as the ‘Outdoor Capital of the UK’ as it offers a wide range of adventure activities, including excursions to Ben Nevis. You can also take a cable car up the Aonach Mor Mountain for fabulous views of the Great Glen and the islands of Skye and Rhum or jump on the Jacobite steam train from Fort William to Mallaig for one of the most scenic journeys imaginable.

- JHJoanna HallAug 21, 20265.0What a fantastic site to stop at. The view from any pitch is glorious. The shower block was super clean and tidy. Grounds spotless. Staff were very helpful with enquiry and a change to our booking. Short walk to the local bar / excellent food served. No gas sold here but we found a local gas company in Fort William called West Highland Gas Ltd who were very cheap compared to Morrisons. Highly recommend 100%.

- VBVal BennettAug 10, 20263.0Beautiful location on the edge of the Loch. Sadly for us the weather was particularly wet for all of our stay which restricted our plans. The site and facilities are excellent but there is very little around the site that is open during the day unless you drive to Fort William. The nearest bar/restaurant Roam West does not open until 5pm and the Hotel reached by the ferry does not open the bar/restaurant until 5pm. Lovely location but apart from the walks to the falls in Onich not a great deal to do unless you have a car.
- AMAktas MikailJul 29, 20265.0Der Bunree Camping & Caravan Park ist eine sehr gepflegte Anlage in wunderschöner Lage, nur wenige Schritte vom See entfernt. Die Sanitäranlagen sind modern und ausgesprochen sauber – hier gibt es wirklich nichts zu beanstanden. Das Personal war grundsätzlich freundlich, allerdings wurden die Platzregeln sehr konsequent durchgesetzt. Wer sich an die Vorgaben hält und eher unauffällig bleibt, wird keine Probleme haben. Ein Hinweis für alle Besucher: Bei Windstille können die schottischen Midges (kleine Stechmücken) auf dem Platz sehr lästig werden. Dann ist es kaum möglich, gemütlich draußen zu sitzen. Lange Kleidung oder ein Mückennetz für den Kopf sind in solchen Momenten sehr empfehlenswert, da man sonst innerhalb kurzer Zeit viele Stiche abbekommt. Das ist allerdings kein Problem des Campingplatzes selbst, sondern in den Highlands generell bekannt. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner und sauberer Campingplatz mit toller Lage, den wir trotz der Midges weiterempfehlen können.

Can non-members book campsites online?
Yes, non-members can book selected Club campsites online. Non-members are required to pay an additional supplement of �15 per night to stay upon arrival at site. Tent pitches can also be booked online, there is no non-member supplement to be paid when booking a tent pitch.
Does the Club own any overseas sites?
We work closely with over 310 campsites which are regularly visited and inspected by Club staff. We don't own or directly manage any overseas sites.

Do I need a different driving licence for driving a motorhome or towing a caravan?
If you passed your test before 1st January 1997, you are able to drive any combination of car and caravan, or any motorhome with a weight of up to 7500kg (or 8250kg with a trailer). If your licence starts after 1st January 1997 then you can drive a car and caravan with a combined maximum weight of 3500kg (or 4250kg to include a small trailer weighing no more than 750kg). You can also drive a motorhome with a weight of up to 3500kg (with a small trailer of up to 750kg, or a heavier trailer if the combined maximum weight is no more than 3500kg). For all drivers aged 70 and over, the motorhome weight allowance is reduced to 3500kg maximum weight, unless a medical report is supplied.

How do I access the free Wi-Fi?
When you arrive at the campsite, you will be able to access FREE Wi-Fi (for basic browsing and emails only) after registering on the portal. The portal is only available when you are located in the hotspot area on a Club campsite offering Wi-Fi.
Where on the site will the hotspot be located?
The wireless hotspot will be located close to reception. Sharing a limited bandwidth with others may also vary the speed of service with some sites being a distance from the exchange. Our service is suitable for basic web surfing and emails but not updates or streaming e.g. BBC iPlayer and YouTube.
Do I have to be a member to stay on a UK campsite?
Non-members are welcome to book and stay at many of the Club campsites, however there are some that are member-exclusive. This information is available on each individual campsite webpage. Members may bring friends or family too, as long as they stay for the same duration.
How long can you stay on a Club Campsite?
Yes, however, if you have multiple pitch types booked within the duration of your stay, it may not be possible for you to remain on the same pitch for your entire stay. During busy periods you will potentially need to move to the pitch(es) you originally booked.
Can I stay on Club campsites with a tent?
It�s likely that since the Directory was printed, the campsite has withdrawn from our network and so will not appear online. If you feel that there is still an error, please phone us on 01342 327 490.

Are trailer tents and folding campers welcome?
Boats aren�t designed to be used for accommodation on land and so, unfortunately, we don�t accept them on our campsites. The only exception to this is Wilderness Boats, which are small canal boats that are purposely designed for dual use on the land and in the water. Search for our outfit types page for a comprehensive list of outfit types we welcome.
Are roof top tents welcome?
New members can have online access as little as one hour after joining online. Your email confirmation containing your membership number usually arrives within 48 hours of joining online.
Are boats on trailers welcome?
You can include a joint member to your membership free of charge. Additional family members can be added for �10 each. Joint and family members must live at the same address as the lead member and be over 18 years old.
If I become a member online, how quickly will I be able to book UK Club campsites?
If you are the full member you can amend your membership details under My Profile. You can also amend your membership details, including amending joint or family members, by using Webchat or phoning our membership services line.
