The site is ideally located within striking distance of Fort William without being in Fort William. The views are amazing from most pitches and the place was spotless. A credit to the hard-working wardens. My only gripes were a lack of access to an information room (despite being listed in their old maps) and the games/TV room is gone. The pot wash is the smallest I’ve ever seen at any site. This issue needs addressing as the sinks were in the laundry room. It was hot and people had to prop the door open despite it being 13 °C outside. The sinks are too close together which renders one of the three unusable. People were crammed in like sardines and there was a queue outside on several occasions. One evening we had to wait for 20 minutes for our turn. I’ve not experienced this at any other site. My biggest issue was the serviced pitches at the back of the site. I however undertook the planning and works and signed it off needs to resign. The drained slope upward which results in your grey water pipes backing up and requiring manual emptying. Those pitches need scraping back to allow your water to run off into the service point. We paid a premium to be on a fully serviced pitch and couldn’t use our grey water pipes. With a few minor tweaks, this site could be the jewel in the crown of all CAMH club sites.

This is probably the best Caravan club site I have been to. The view is spectacular and the facilities are immaculate. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. There are lots of showers and loos all modern and well kept. And the laundry facilities are great, with contactless payment on the appliances. I like that there are sperate disabled facilities, but also I noticed that in the ladies there were disabled facilities within making everyone possibly feel inclusive. The only thing I can fault are the pitches because they are gravel and not hard standing. You are not allowed to put an awning up on the waterside pitches anyway, so hard standing would be much better, as I saw people struggling to manoeuvre their caravan to put them in nose first to enjoy the view. It feels that maybe these spaces are more motorhome friendly, which I appreciate the Caravan club is now called the Caravan and Motorhome club, but traditionally it was just the Caravan club, and maybe feels like us traditionalists are having to work a bit harder to enjoy this site. That said, we are having a lovely time here and enjoying the relaxation and the surrounding areas to site see. I would recommend the wildlife boat ride from Fort William and the drive out to Glencoe. Also, the Intree waterfall is a lovely wee walk, just up the road from Bunree. Overall, we are very pleased and will be returning at some point.

Wat een waardeloos boekingssysteem wordt er gebruikt. De betaling via credit was in reservering blijven staan. We wilde niet 2x betalen en zijn zonder pardon de camping afgestuurd. Erg klant onvriendelijk!

Great Campsite but!! I would definitely recommend this campsite to all visitors for many reasons. The new shower & toilet block is very clean & modern with plenty of showers & toilets for everyone. It’s a great facility. The campsite in general is wonderful and in a scenic location with great views. It’s very clean and well maintained. One of the best sites I’ve stayed on anywhere in Europe. A credit to the friendly staff who clearly work hard to keep the campsite in such good condition. The big drawback and design fault is with the washing up and laundry facilities. These are totally inadequate for such a large site and seem to have been overlooked or ignored during the design phase. It’s the first time I’ve ever had to queue on a campsite to wash my pots! The dish washing room is ridiculously small for so many pitches. A larger washing up area is a must and sooner rather than later please. Also one wash machine and one dryer is not enough. I overheard several campers complaining about this. Smaller sites less well funded have better laundry facilities so why so few on this site? Come on CMCC you can do better than this. A real pity this has let an otherwise almost perfect site down.
