Ian and Michelle are wonderful wardens , always time for a chat and so helpful. I've camped for over 50 years and they're the best I've ever come across. Brilliant pristine site. Good pub (Anchor Inn), 5 minutes walk through the lakes.

A great welcome from Ian and Michelle. The site is beautiful. Very well maintained with spotless facilities. Exit the site on foot through a gate at the bottom of site and there is a small cut through the most beautiful lake area to The Anchor pub. Great beer garden on the river and lovely food. Site has a small basic shop with a well stocked information room. A good mix of hard standing and grass. It’s a shame the season is so short as with hard stands and seasonal I’m sure the site would be busy for a longer season. Well worth a visit but… if you plan to cycle there are some grind your gears 20% hills nearby.

Wow we have never been made so welcome to a site before, on Arrival Ian and Michelle were amazing, made to feel welcome straight away. Nothing was too much trouble and all ways working round the site to make it look it’s best. So much that we have rebooked several more dates. They both put so much effort in, facilitates are spotless, ice creams are great addition too. Only thing is the season could do with being longer as plenty hard standing pitches for the poor English weather. What makes a site for us is the presentation of the site and the wardens and this really is one of the best. The site is immaculate.
