This open all year site in Derbyshire is suited for all interest and seasons with all-weather pitches and local shops. The local village has a variety of pubs to choose from. Our site has access to all kinds of outdoor activities like rock climbing, potholing, biking and horse riding. With endless lovely landscapes like Winnatt’s Pass, Mam Tor and Ladybower Reservoir this site is ideal for cyclist, families and couples. Castleton village has the ruins of William the Conqueror’s Peveril Castle only half a mile away. This caravan site offers a wide selection of historical features and promises an unforgettable getaway.

- MJMark Jones2 days ago4.0Really nice well equipped site. Facilities clean, modern and well maintained. Pitches relatively flat and spacious. 5 minute walk into Castleton with pubs, cafes & shops.
- TBTom Ball3 days ago4.0We really enjoyed our stay at Castleton. We had a bit of confusion with the sat nav and the post code so missed the turning when we got to the site. Look out for that one if you're using the postcode. We had a lovely pitch on its own which was great as we had the awning and the dogs. The site is fairly small so it's nice that nothing is too far away from the toilets and chemical waste etc. The staff were lovely. Our pump broke for the awning and they had one they could lend us which we were very grateful for. The only reason it's a 4 from me is because there isn't anywhere for the dogs to have a run which is hard in that area as it's all fields with sheep etc and the hills. We have a spaniel who likes to be off running that's all. Completely personal to us but that was the only downside for us. There was a dog walk to be fair but it wasn't full enclosed so it says to keep the dogs on a lead the whole time. Apart from that the site is great so if you don't have the spaniel problem then I would definitely recommend this site. Oh and the man who comes to do pizzas and loaded fries is great!! The crumbles were amazing

The facilities are outstanding, every area is spotlessly clean and the grounds are well maintained. The location is perfect for access to lots of walks, either up to the local hills or local towns, especially Castleton which is a quick 10-15 minute walk away.

Can non-members book campsites online?
Yes, non-members can book selected Club campsites online. Non-members are required to pay an additional supplement of �15 per night to stay upon arrival at site. Tent pitches can also be booked online, there is no non-member supplement to be paid when booking a tent pitch.
Does the Club own any overseas sites?
We work closely with over 310 campsites which are regularly visited and inspected by Club staff. We don't own or directly manage any overseas sites.

Do I need a different driving licence for driving a motorhome or towing a caravan?
If you passed your test before 1st January 1997, you are able to drive any combination of car and caravan, or any motorhome with a weight of up to 7500kg (or 8250kg with a trailer). If your licence starts after 1st January 1997 then you can drive a car and caravan with a combined maximum weight of 3500kg (or 4250kg to include a small trailer weighing no more than 750kg). You can also drive a motorhome with a weight of up to 3500kg (with a small trailer of up to 750kg, or a heavier trailer if the combined maximum weight is no more than 3500kg). For all drivers aged 70 and over, the motorhome weight allowance is reduced to 3500kg maximum weight, unless a medical report is supplied.

How do I access the free Wi-Fi?
When you arrive at the campsite, you will be able to access FREE Wi-Fi (for basic browsing and emails only) after registering on the portal. The portal is only available when you are located in the hotspot area on a Club campsite offering Wi-Fi.
Where on the site will the hotspot be located?
The wireless hotspot will be located close to reception. Sharing a limited bandwidth with others may also vary the speed of service with some sites being a distance from the exchange. Our service is suitable for basic web surfing and emails but not updates or streaming e.g. BBC iPlayer and YouTube.
Do I have to be a member to stay on a UK campsite?
Non-members are welcome to book and stay at many of the Club campsites, however there are some that are member-exclusive. This information is available on each individual campsite webpage. Members may bring friends or family too, as long as they stay for the same duration.
How long can you stay on a Club Campsite?
Yes, however, if you have multiple pitch types booked within the duration of your stay, it may not be possible for you to remain on the same pitch for your entire stay. During busy periods you will potentially need to move to the pitch(es) you originally booked.
Can I stay on Club campsites with a tent?
It�s likely that since the Directory was printed, the campsite has withdrawn from our network and so will not appear online. If you feel that there is still an error, please phone us on 01342 327 490.

Trailer tents and folding campers are considered the equivalent to a caravan, rather than a tent so they are therefore accepted on Club campsites that wouldn�t normally permit conventional tents. Search for our outfit types page for a comprehensive list of outfit types we welcome.
Are self-build conversions welcome?
Yes, roof top tents are welcome at our Club campsites. Search for our outfit types page for a comprehensive list of outfit types we welcome.
Are trailer tents and folding campers welcome?
Boats aren�t designed to be used for accommodation on land and so, unfortunately, we don�t accept them on our campsites. The only exception to this is Wilderness Boats, which are small canal boats that are purposely designed for dual use on the land and in the water. Search for our outfit types page for a comprehensive list of outfit types we welcome.
Are roof top tents welcome?
New members can have online access as little as one hour after joining online. Your email confirmation containing your membership number usually arrives within 48 hours of joining online.
Are boats on trailers welcome?
You can include a joint member to your membership free of charge. Additional family members can be added for �10 each. Joint and family members must live at the same address as the lead member and be over 18 years old.
If I become a member online, how quickly will I be able to book UK Club campsites?
If you are the full member you can amend your membership details under My Profile. You can also amend your membership details, including amending joint or family members, by using Webchat or phoning our membership services line.
