Set in the beautiful location of an old walled garden on the picturesque Chatsworth Estate in the Peak District National Park. Visitors are free to explore 1000-acre Chatsworth Estate directly from the site and enjoy the wildlife while it is also possible to walk to the beautiful house and gardens where there is also a children’s farmyard and adventure playground. The village of Baslow is a 15 minute walk away with a couple of good pubs while nearby Bakewell and Buxton are both well worth a visit. The Peak District offers a wide range of choice for walkers and cyclists.

- KWKirsty Wells4 days ago5.0As a family, we have visited the Chatsworth Caravan Club site for the past 20 years, and we have had so many happy holidays there. We were extremely sad to hear that it will close in September so we have just had our last stay there (June 2026). The wardens currently on site are wonderful, we can’t sing their praises enough. They have been friendly and helpful, which has made our stay even better. Wishing all of the Wardens the very best when they move on to different sites and thank you for being amazing. It is a Great site and location, but, yes a but, I appreciate the caravan club does not want to invest in a site they are losing. The toilets are looking tired, and I can accept that, As said why invest in this site. Thee drains in the showers stink. This is not acceptable. This site has also a big rat problem. Over Friday and Saturday night while sat out, We saw six separate rat sightings. Running through our pitch. InThe flower beds and near our sons Motorhome 10 pitches further away, this was in the daylight too. We had two children under 3 years with us and dare not let them on the floor mats due to rat diessese risks. Disinfected everything that was outside when we got home. I know... We are outside in woodland area but never before have we encounter rats on caravan club sites. and this is quite a few. Not sure how long it is staying open to clubembers. This site needs some major pest control. Do not leave your things out for the rats.

What types of pitch are available?

Can non-members book campsites online?
Yes, non-members can book selected Club campsites online. Non-members are required to pay an additional supplement of �15 per night to stay upon arrival at site. Tent pitches can also be booked online, there is no non-member supplement to be paid when booking a tent pitch.
Does the Club own any overseas sites?
We work closely with over 310 campsites which are regularly visited and inspected by Club staff. We don't own or directly manage any overseas sites.
How do I book an overseas site?

Do I need a different driving licence for driving a motorhome or towing a caravan?
If you passed your test before 1st January 1997, you are able to drive any combination of car and caravan, or any motorhome with a weight of up to 7500kg (or 8250kg with a trailer). If your licence starts after 1st January 1997 then you can drive a car and caravan with a combined maximum weight of 3500kg (or 4250kg to include a small trailer weighing no more than 750kg). You can also drive a motorhome with a weight of up to 3500kg (with a small trailer of up to 750kg, or a heavier trailer if the combined maximum weight is no more than 3500kg). For all drivers aged 70 and over, the motorhome weight allowance is reduced to 3500kg maximum weight, unless a medical report is supplied.

How do I access the free Wi-Fi?
When you arrive at the campsite, you will be able to access FREE Wi-Fi (for basic browsing and emails only) after registering on the portal. The portal is only available when you are located in the hotspot area on a Club campsite offering Wi-Fi.
Where on the site will the hotspot be located?
The wireless hotspot will be located close to reception. Sharing a limited bandwidth with others may also vary the speed of service with some sites being a distance from the exchange. Our service is suitable for basic web surfing and emails but not updates or streaming e.g. BBC iPlayer and YouTube.
Do I have to be a member to stay on a UK campsite?
Non-members are welcome to book and stay at many of the Club campsites, however there are some that are member-exclusive. This information is available on each individual campsite webpage. Members may bring friends or family too, as long as they stay for the same duration.
How long can you stay on a Club Campsite?
Yes, however, if you have multiple pitch types booked within the duration of your stay, it may not be possible for you to remain on the same pitch for your entire stay. During busy periods you will potentially need to move to the pitch(es) you originally booked.
Can I stay on Club campsites with a tent?
It�s likely that since the Directory was printed, the campsite has withdrawn from our network and so will not appear online. If you feel that there is still an error, please phone us on 01342 327 490.
Can I book different pitch types throughout a stay?

Trailer tents and folding campers are considered the equivalent to a caravan, rather than a tent so they are therefore accepted on Club campsites that wouldn�t normally permit conventional tents. Search for our outfit types page for a comprehensive list of outfit types we welcome.
Are self-build conversions welcome?
Yes, roof top tents are welcome at our Club campsites. Search for our outfit types page for a comprehensive list of outfit types we welcome.
Are trailer tents and folding campers welcome?
Boats aren�t designed to be used for accommodation on land and so, unfortunately, we don�t accept them on our campsites. The only exception to this is Wilderness Boats, which are small canal boats that are purposely designed for dual use on the land and in the water. Search for our outfit types page for a comprehensive list of outfit types we welcome.
Are roof top tents welcome?
New members can have online access as little as one hour after joining online. Your email confirmation containing your membership number usually arrives within 48 hours of joining online.
Are boats on trailers welcome?
You can include a joint member to your membership free of charge. Additional family members can be added for �10 each. Joint and family members must live at the same address as the lead member and be over 18 years old.
If I become a member online, how quickly will I be able to book UK Club campsites?
If you are the full member you can amend your membership details under My Profile. You can also amend your membership details, including amending joint or family members, by using Webchat or phoning our membership services line.

There are no arrivals to the Club campsite after 8pm. If you encounter a problem with your journey, please contact the Club campsite before 6pm.
