Lovely site off the main road up a lane. Clean and very tidy. The site is on a hill but then this is the lake district so hardly surprising! The location is a bit remote so without a car it's not so easy to get about. The bus service isn't great. We had ebikes which were so useful. Used Uber on another visit to Bowness as its not possible to walk it safely (the road is busy) Bar on site and a food outlet which was useful.

This year will have been the 4th year in a row that we have spent my husbsnds birthday at Park Cliffe. We've always rented out the camping pods and had breakfasts in the bar and dinner off the pop up kitchen.
The park has always been beautifully clean and well kept. The staff always keen to help and willing to chat. It's why we've always returned.
This year it was different.
The staff, although still lovely, seemed more stressed and had less time. When I was booking out there was no questions towards how our stay was of if we'd had any problems. It's was a case of 'oh, your booking out, thank you' .....end of!
The park had no flower baskets on dhow and the tables in the bar were sticky.
The most prominent decline, for us, was the lack of table served breakfasts.
We had to choose from a reduced breakfast menu (no full English) from the pop up kitchen and then collect it when it was ready then eat it out of a cardboard box. Fair play, the bar was open so we did have a table to sit and eat at but. The decline in standards of hospitality is like a slap in the face with a wet cod!
We did hear from a staff member that the site had been taken over by the Caravan and Campers Club so all questions about dropping standards was answered.
Sadly we won't be back again!

We recently stayed here for two nights, paying £100 for our stay. The site itself was excellent – very clean, well maintained, with a great bar area and good food.
Unfortunately, our experience was spoiled by the check-in process. After a three-hour drive, we arrived just 1 hour and 15 minutes before check-in and were told quite bluntly to leave and come back later because the pitch hadn't been checked. However, the previous guests were required to leave by midday, and the pitch was clearly empty. If the site is that strict about departure times, it seems unreasonable to suggest the pitch might still be occupied. The whole situation felt unnecessarily pedantic and lacking in customer service.
To be fair, when we returned at the correct time, the receptionist was much more helpful and even offered to show us to our pitch. Which however l cannot help think was an over compensation for earlier in the day.
It's a shame because the site itself is lovely, but the poor first impression put a dampener on our holiday and left a bad taste. We enjoyed the facilities, but unfortunately the customer service on arrival would make us think twice about returning.

This was a lovely site with great facilities. The showers were clean and warm with private ones available if required.
There was a food truck who supplied tasty food that could be eaten in the pub if weather is very wet or windy.
Pitches were well prepared and water was available as well as electric if booked.
The shop was fairly well stocked and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Child playground and dog walk area were available. There was a games room and bingo on a couple days.
Other pods and caravans were also available if you wanted to come without your own sleeping quarters.
The surrounding areas were beautiful with loads of walks and Windermere is not far if other foods or things are needed.
Definitely one of the best spots I have been to since I had my camper.

I dont have anything constructive to say! All areas of the campsite were incredible nad great value.
The campsite is dog friendly and going outside of school and bank holidays the campsite was quiet and peaceful. The staff were all incredible and our dog was welcomed in the onsite pub and given copious amounts of treats. Food availability from the food truck on site was delicious and reasonably priced for breakfast, lunch and dinner if that is how you fly, especially for the portions you received!
Facilities were always clean and well maintained, some of the best campsite facilities I have been to, where the showers were actually warm/hot!
The only advice I would give is that if you travel with your pets, make sure their flea, tick and worming are up to date. Its an area thing in the Lakes and you might have some sneaky little hitchhikers.
