Set in National Trust woodland, Kendal Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite is one of the most peaceful sites on our network. With country lanes, a tumbling river and wild flowers across the site, nature-lovers will love exploring the local area. For those who enjoy fishing, this caravan site also features a river which is popular amongst anglers. The site is also home to a play area and playground suitable for children. Kendal Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite is a great base from which to explore the delights of Cumbria and an ideal stopover point for travel towards Scotland. Plus, the nearby market town of Kendal, famed for its mint cake, is perfect for a bite to eat or a spot of shopping.

- SWSean Wallace-Docherty1 day ago5.0We recently stayed at Kendal Club Site in our caravan and had a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff gave us such a warm and friendly welcome, making us feel at home straight away. Our fully serviced pitch was spacious, well maintained, and more than adequate for our needs. The site itself was clean, peaceful, and an excellent base for exploring the area. What really stood out was how helpful the staff were. We unexpectedly ran out of milk, and they kindly opened the shop so we could buy some, which was such a thoughtful gesture and very much appreciated. We had also bought some new walking shoes and fans because of the hot weather, leaving us with several large cardboard boxes. Rather than letting us fill up the recycling bins, David very kindly took the boxes away for recycling himself. It was a small act of kindness that really demonstrated the excellent customer service at the site. Nothing was too much trouble for the team, and their friendliness and willingness to help made our stay even more enjoyable. We will definitely be staying here again and would highly recommend Kendal Club Site to anyone looking for a welcoming, well-run site.

- IBIan ButterworthJun 17, 20265.0This is a lovely site with lots of trees and secluded pitches. The managers were so very friendly and helpful, and the facilities were spotless as always. The access roads are quite narrow. This is a perfect place to stay for trips to Windermere and also National trust properties such as Sizergh Castle. There are lots of options for walks, with and without dogs.

Can non-members book campsites online?
Yes, non-members can book selected Club campsites online. Non-members are required to pay an additional supplement of �15 per night to stay upon arrival at site. Tent pitches can also be booked online, there is no non-member supplement to be paid when booking a tent pitch.
Does the Club own any overseas sites?
We work closely with over 310 campsites which are regularly visited and inspected by Club staff. We don't own or directly manage any overseas sites.
How do I book an overseas site?

Do I need a different driving licence for driving a motorhome or towing a caravan?
If you passed your test before 1st January 1997, you are able to drive any combination of car and caravan, or any motorhome with a weight of up to 7500kg (or 8250kg with a trailer). If your licence starts after 1st January 1997 then you can drive a car and caravan with a combined maximum weight of 3500kg (or 4250kg to include a small trailer weighing no more than 750kg). You can also drive a motorhome with a weight of up to 3500kg (with a small trailer of up to 750kg, or a heavier trailer if the combined maximum weight is no more than 3500kg). For all drivers aged 70 and over, the motorhome weight allowance is reduced to 3500kg maximum weight, unless a medical report is supplied.

How do I access the free Wi-Fi?
When you arrive at the campsite, you will be able to access FREE Wi-Fi (for basic browsing and emails only) after registering on the portal. The portal is only available when you are located in the hotspot area on a Club campsite offering Wi-Fi.
Where on the site will the hotspot be located?
The wireless hotspot will be located close to reception. Sharing a limited bandwidth with others may also vary the speed of service with some sites being a distance from the exchange. Our service is suitable for basic web surfing and emails but not updates or streaming e.g. BBC iPlayer and YouTube.
Do I have to be a member to stay on a UK campsite?
Non-members are welcome to book and stay at many of the Club campsites, however there are some that are member-exclusive. This information is available on each individual campsite webpage. Members may bring friends or family too, as long as they stay for the same duration.
How long can you stay on a Club Campsite?
Yes, however, if you have multiple pitch types booked within the duration of your stay, it may not be possible for you to remain on the same pitch for your entire stay. During busy periods you will potentially need to move to the pitch(es) you originally booked.
Can I stay on Club campsites with a tent?
It�s likely that since the Directory was printed, the campsite has withdrawn from our network and so will not appear online. If you feel that there is still an error, please phone us on 01342 327 490.
Can I book different pitch types throughout a stay?

Are standard motorhomes welcome?
Trailer tents and folding campers are considered the equivalent to a caravan, rather than a tent so they are therefore accepted on Club campsites that wouldn�t normally permit conventional tents. Search for our outfit types page for a comprehensive list of outfit types we welcome.
Are self-build conversions welcome?
Yes, roof top tents are welcome at our Club campsites. Search for our outfit types page for a comprehensive list of outfit types we welcome.
Are trailer tents and folding campers welcome?
Boats aren�t designed to be used for accommodation on land and so, unfortunately, we don�t accept them on our campsites. The only exception to this is Wilderness Boats, which are small canal boats that are purposely designed for dual use on the land and in the water. Search for our outfit types page for a comprehensive list of outfit types we welcome.
Are roof top tents welcome?
New members can have online access as little as one hour after joining online. Your email confirmation containing your membership number usually arrives within 48 hours of joining online.
Are boats on trailers welcome?
You can include a joint member to your membership free of charge. Additional family members can be added for �10 each. Joint and family members must live at the same address as the lead member and be over 18 years old.
If I become a member online, how quickly will I be able to book UK Club campsites?
If you are the full member you can amend your membership details under My Profile. You can also amend your membership details, including amending joint or family members, by using Webchat or phoning our membership services line.
Can I add somebody to my membership?
A reminder will be sent a few weeks before your membership expiry date. You can renew online or by calling our Contact Centre on 01342 318 813.
