Head to Cambridge for your next holiday and choose the Cambridge Cherry Hinton Club Campsite as the base from which to explore. Set among ancient quarry work, the area is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest, and while you’ll feel as though you’re in the midst of the countryside, you’ll only be a 40-minute bus journey from the city centre. Cambridge is indeed a must-visit location during your stay with plenty of historic attractions to keep you occupied, although the site itself offers good cycling paths and walking routes for those who want to explore a little closer to base.

- MBMike BookhamAug 23, 20265.0We stayed here for a couple of nights on our first trip in a hired campervan. The site itself is lovely, featuring discreet pitches with plenty of tree shade that was a lifesaver during the heatwave, giving it a peaceful, intimate feel. It's very convenient for taking the bus into Cambridge, with several stops nearby, though working out the routes via online timetables was a bit confusing, and the journey can take up to an hour each way during peak rush hour. The Robin Hood pub is just a short walk away and excellent for food and drinks, though do note that the footpath to and from the main road is quite narrow and uneven. Access tip: Avoid using the south side of Limekiln Road. It is very narrow with high kerbs and not really suitable for larger vehicles.

Decía que estaba completo pero entre a verlo y estaba medio vacío. Me ofreció aparcar fuera del campin y que durmiera en el coche cobrándome como si hubiera acampado dentro. Me dijo que tenía electricidad y agua pero no había.. Pagaba por dormir en el coche en una explanada. Cuando le pedí que conectará los suministros se enfado muchísimo y me echo del campin dejándome tirado en la carretera sin sitio donde dormir. No se lo recomiendo a nadie. Y no hay sitio para dejar un coche en ir a recepcion. Una sola persona muy adisgusto con su trabajo que a las 7 de la tarde no deja entrar a nadie en pleno Agosto. NO IR!!!

Per raggiungere il centro, bisogna arrivare alla fermata del bus più vicina (circa 5-10minuti a piedi) e si arriva in circa 30 minuti. Purtroppo la stradina che dal campeggio porta alla strada principale non è molto agevole, c’è un solo marciapiede ed è molto stretto e non ben manutenuto. Col buio secondo me è un po’ pericoloso. I servizi igienici sono puliti e moderni ma il campeggio è spartano, non sono presenti aree giochi o bar o minimarket (vendono solo qualche snack in reception). Lo consiglio per la pulizia e la vicinanza a Cambridge.

Hard standing with electric pitch Great location for the city of cambridge - just 20 mins or so on the bus- easy 5 minute walk to stop. 5 mins walk to the robin hood pub lovely beer garden and meals. Camp site facilities were great- immaculate toilet/showers. Quite a big site but so very quiet. Small shop with limited supplies but there is a few local shops opposite the robin hood.

Can non-members book campsites online?
Yes, non-members can book selected Club campsites online. Non-members are required to pay an additional supplement of �15 per night to stay upon arrival at site. Tent pitches can also be booked online, there is no non-member supplement to be paid when booking a tent pitch.
Does the Club own any overseas sites?
We work closely with over 310 campsites which are regularly visited and inspected by Club staff. We don't own or directly manage any overseas sites.
How do I book an overseas site?

Do I need a different driving licence for driving a motorhome or towing a caravan?
If you passed your test before 1st January 1997, you are able to drive any combination of car and caravan, or any motorhome with a weight of up to 7500kg (or 8250kg with a trailer). If your licence starts after 1st January 1997 then you can drive a car and caravan with a combined maximum weight of 3500kg (or 4250kg to include a small trailer weighing no more than 750kg). You can also drive a motorhome with a weight of up to 3500kg (with a small trailer of up to 750kg, or a heavier trailer if the combined maximum weight is no more than 3500kg). For all drivers aged 70 and over, the motorhome weight allowance is reduced to 3500kg maximum weight, unless a medical report is supplied.

How do I access the free Wi-Fi?
When you arrive at the campsite, you will be able to access FREE Wi-Fi (for basic browsing and emails only) after registering on the portal. The portal is only available when you are located in the hotspot area on a Club campsite offering Wi-Fi.
Where on the site will the hotspot be located?
The wireless hotspot will be located close to reception. Sharing a limited bandwidth with others may also vary the speed of service with some sites being a distance from the exchange. Our service is suitable for basic web surfing and emails but not updates or streaming e.g. BBC iPlayer and YouTube.
Do I have to be a member to stay on a UK campsite?
Non-members are welcome to book and stay at many of the Club campsites, however there are some that are member-exclusive. This information is available on each individual campsite webpage. Members may bring friends or family too, as long as they stay for the same duration.
How long can you stay on a Club Campsite?
Yes, however, if you have multiple pitch types booked within the duration of your stay, it may not be possible for you to remain on the same pitch for your entire stay. During busy periods you will potentially need to move to the pitch(es) you originally booked.
Can I stay on Club campsites with a tent?
It�s likely that since the Directory was printed, the campsite has withdrawn from our network and so will not appear online. If you feel that there is still an error, please phone us on 01342 327 490.

Are trailer tents and folding campers welcome?
Boats aren�t designed to be used for accommodation on land and so, unfortunately, we don�t accept them on our campsites. The only exception to this is Wilderness Boats, which are small canal boats that are purposely designed for dual use on the land and in the water. Are roof top tents welcome?
New members can have online access as little as one hour after joining online. Your email confirmation containing your membership number usually arrives within 48 hours of joining online.
Are boats on trailers welcome?
You can include a joint member to your membership free of charge. Additional family members can be added for �10 each. Joint and family members must live at the same address as the lead member and be over 18 years old.
If I become a member online, how quickly will I be able to book UK Club campsites?
If you are the full member you can amend your membership details under My Profile. You can also amend your membership details, including amending joint or family members, by using Webchat or phoning our membership services line.
