- GGGlen Gullickson5 days ago1.0My wife ordered a back pack, which is being "delivered" by REI's preferred carrier. It was in Tampa at 1:30 am today and it is now 6pm in the evening. We are not likely to order from REI if they retain OnTrac as their carrier. UPS would have delivered it by now. Also, I have absolutely ZERO confidence the package will be delivered to the correct address. This is a really bad look for a retailer that is trying to "turn things around". Note, pkg delivered to the correct address @ 7:30 pm. 17 hours after the last update. Communication is the key to success and, likewise, lack of communication is really bad. Just sayin'.

My partner and I recently got a new Airstream, and we popped in to look for bicycles that we could easily tow along. Kyle was an absolute rock star. He spent a ton of time with us, not only geeking out over all things RV-related but also helping us find the perfect bikes that fit both our sizes and our budget. His knowledge and enthusiasm were truly top-notch. Kyle made the entire process feel like part of the adventure we’re embarking on with our Airstream. Thanks to him, we’re set up with bikes that are perfect for our travels. If you’re ever in the area and need anything outdoor-related, do yourself a favor and ask for Kyle. He’ll make sure you leave as excited and well-equipped as we did. Thank you, Kyle, and thank you, REI! This experience has just made our upcoming trip that much more amazing.

The associate who helped us, Dave, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He immediately understood what we needed and even guessed my profession just from the way I described how I stand and the way I supinate my feet while working 10–12 hours a day. He took the time to recommend the perfect pair of shoes — the right style, size, and support — and explained everything clearly. He also walked us through the benefits of becoming REI members, which was super helpful. We left the store happy, informed, and with shoes that feel amazing. Definitely one of the best shopping experiences I’ve had in a long time!
