So I reached out to calusa to explain my awful experience and they didn't even have the respect to contact me back. I do not recommend this course and there customer service is truly lacking.
Hello just wanted to write a little about my experience yesterday. I have lived in Sarasota area all my life and play golf weekly. I have enjoyed your course over 10 times and enjoy the course other than the construction for the most part. Yesterday I invited a tour pro from New York to play with us and I booked a time with you guys. I have played here over 10 times threw out the year and every time I have paid 80$ to $90 dollars. Now much to my surprise, when I arrived with my guests you had changed the cost to $150 a person. I went ahead and paid for the round assuming with your pay increase that you had finished some of the course remodeling. Now I totally respect it is season and the prices rise, that is normal so I can totally appreciate that. Most courses in the area increase by $20, not almost doubling. But for a golf course that has no club house, no bathrooms but a porter potty, no ice or water machines on the course, construction everywhere, workers that are playing music while they work on the course, I just feel this is really awful. Also for you to still not have a liquor license which I have been told you would be getting for months, and a cart girl that can't accept credit card payments, I just feel that this was frankly a rip off. I'm in the service industry and I just want you to know that all of my guests and I were very disappointed with our experience. We spent over $800 with fees, balls, and drinks, and my tour pro had to use a porter potty where no toilet paper was provided. I was very embarrassed to say the least. I play all over Sarasota and your price is the highest that we have paid this year. I respect that you are tailoring to a higher crowd, but the experience and the course at its state does not warrant this price point in my opinion. I highly doubt we will return even though for the most part we enjoy your course.

A visually Beautiful course but it is very difficult off the tee, and the greens are great but tough with lots of undulations. This is not an easy course. Pace of play definitely struggled a bit, maybe it was just the knuckleheads in front of us driving their carts in the white stakes... Oh yeah, There is no ranger at this course. Also there is an Absolutely Brutal wind which is probably due to the fact there are no trees, hills, or buildings around for miles lol. It was a constant 15-20 mph when we played and the starter said "it is Always like that".
I think this will be an awesome course in about 10 years once everything gets built in a little bit. Its currently like playing golf on a construction site lol.

This golf course at the end of the year 2025 is less then half finished and the negative comments are justified. But like a newborn baby is a beauty for the mother and for the medical staff but an occasional visitor can not fully share the enthusiasm. The club wanted to show up the course, that is understandable, when it is finished it will be a closed private club.
What was excellent? The architect made a very good job. The links type of course is wildly undulating. No one can gain a few extra yards from a rolling ball. You got to travel in the air. The drainage is well planned, in every tiny walley there is a runoff collector. Good quality sand in the bunkers. The course will be very fine finished, but it is a sorry sight now, despite the efforts of the staff to correct the negative comments. It will be fun to see the evolution, to see the newborn baby become a beautiful adult.

First time playing the course and thoroughly enjoyed it. The fairways were in fabulous condition! The ball would land in the fairway and roll out for another 40 - 50 yards most of the time. Plenty of water hazards and sand traps to keep things interesting. The course had some interesting elevation changes you don't typically find in south Florida. Since the course is new, there's still a lot of work being accomplished. Cart paths are pretty basic and in several places you drive the cart across undeveloped areas. In another 5 years you'll have to be a member to play so take advantage of the chance to play now
