  I'm been an REI member for a long time. Once I had to browse thought the catalog or online until they headed East. Now it's even easier to get in trouble at the store. Staff are always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

  Very expensive store, but the staff are really friendly and helpful. The products they sell are for the most part really high quality and worth the price if you can afford it.

  First time finally getting to step foot in a REI, and it did not disappoint. This place has everything, whether you need the shoes, outdoor gear, outdoor clothing, pretty much everything for the outdoor person. I've always loved shopping on their website, and the store was just as amazing! Can't wait to go back to this gem!!!

  I purchased a $200 pair of shoes from REI in September 2025 and paid an additional $30 fee after being told this would allow exchanges for up to one year if the shoes had manufacturer defects. Just two months later, the shoes developed an extremely loud squeak that made them sound like they were constantly wet. When I came in for an exchange in November, the process was uncomfortable and difficult. It felt like I was being judged rather than helped. Despite exchanging for the exact same shoe at full price, I still had to pay another $30. Only three and a half months later, the cheap side panel that holds the shoelace snapped while tightening my shoe. When I returned expecting a simple exchange, REI denied it. The manager even told me it’s “expected” that these shoes may not last four months. That directly contradicts the assurances I asked about before purchasing. I’m not someone who can afford to spend $600 a year on shoes. REI markets itself as a helpful, customer-focused company, but my experience felt like the opposite. The extra fees seem designed to collect more money while leaving customers unprotected when problems actually occur. I left feeling misled, frustrated, and unsupported
