- RDRyan DineenJan 11, 20253.0I did a swing evaluation there and thought it was pretty cool. They have some awesome technology there that showed me a lot about what I was doing wrong. So for all of that, it was great and worth it. My only disappointment is the amount of balls I got to hit once the eval and pointers were given. Not sure how else I was supposed to see if I was doing it correctly other than hitting balls. I guess I need to, and I’m quoting the instructor here when I said golf is expensive to practice, “buy a simulator to practice.” I give 3 stars because my instructor, even from the initial confirmation phone call was a little condescending and arrogant with me. I’ll leave names out of it. I brushed off the phone call to me misreading it. But I was correct. That’s how he was. See golf simulator comment above for reference. He seemed knowledgeable but also felt like he talked down to me a little bit. It’s almost like he forgot I was a 100-dollar-paying customer.

Why do I need a Swing Evaluation
The Swing Evaluation gives both Coach and student a clear visual and numerical baseline for both indicating where improvement is necessary and measuring the improvement. We highly recommend the Swing Evaluation for every student, from beginner to competitive player. It allows us to understand your current swing and goals and helps determine the right lesson plan for you.
Are your lessons expensive?
Prices vary by the lesson plan, features included, and region, but they are highly competitive with teaching professionals in each area. However, each GOLFTEC Student will start with a Swing Evaluation which is $150.
Do you teach beginners?
We love teaching golfers who are just picking up the sport! Our coaches understand the unique needs of beginners and know how to make their sessions comfortable and enjoyable.
Can I take lessons at any location?
Absolutely! Your Coach will be able to help you find another Center and Coach. You can also use any GOLFTEC location when you are traveling.
Can I take lessons outdoors?
On-course instruction on specific shots and course management are a great complement to in-bay swing lessons and are offered at most locations.
Will you change my swing?
Changes to your swing may be necessary given your specific golfing problems and goals. We begin with your current swing and work on adjustments to make it more effective and productive.
Does GOLFTEC sell clubs?
Yes. We will order clubs based on your TECFIT club fitting or your specifications if you choose not to have a fitting. With our large buying power and relationships with leading manufacturers, we can sell custom clubs for the same price that you would pay for off-the-rack clubs at many retailers.
