The climbing experience this facility offers is top notch. The facility maintenance and cleanness is well below average. In the short time I have been there, the weight equipment room has been filthy. Even the machines in the back left corner still has drywall dust. The spin bike has a broken pedal. The floor has dusty bunny’s. The mats that butt up against the wall aren’t even black anymore.
The men’s restroom is disgusting. The wall is already turning green and the sink is way too small. You have a touchless soap dispenser, but a sink you have to push down on. Maybe put a farm style sink or anything better do the volume of people. There’s always yellow soap on the top of the counter. The ground cubbies should be reset every night. I find myself pushing them away from the mats each time I go.
With the amount of staff I have seen at the front desk they should have some assigned duties. I am not here to tell someone how to do their job but things like this don’t get better if they are not addressed.
When the wave settles of it being new the bad stuff will show up real quick.

This place has great staff and amazing sets. The employee Ryan (not affiliated) was great. He really deserves a raise!

Had a great experience at Central Rock Gym! Got a chance to sit in on some adaptive climbing training through Paradox Sports. The entire staff was both professional and friendly at the same time. We will definitely be back with our blind and visually impaired clients to experience some climbing with this amazing team.

We visited Central Rock Gym in Fort Myers yesterday and overall had a good experience. The facility itself is brand new and very nice. There’s a great variety of climbing options, and it felt like there was plenty to do for different skill levels. The pricing was also very reasonable in my opinion, especially considering how clean and modern everything is.
Our only real complaint was the staff experience. Unfortunately, they were not very helpful or descriptive, and nothing was really explained or demonstrated to us. We didn’t receive much guidance, which was surprising given that rock climbing can be a dangerous activity if not properly understood. It felt like there was a noticeable lack of experience not just with the facility, but in customer service overall.
We truly think this place has a lot of potential, but the staffing situation could use improvement. Having a more experienced, trained supervisor overseeing the younger staff members would likely make a big difference. With better communication and clearer safety explanations, this gym could easily be a top-tier experience.
Overall, beautiful facility with great pricing just hoping to see stronger customer service and better instruction moving forward.
This gym blew me away. They have tons and tons of routes for all the different styles of climbing. They even have an entire gym, food, table tennis, and plenty of comfy areas to rest. The staff are also excellent. 5/5 for me.
