This is yet another thousand trails experience! Disgusting! Don’t get me wrong, when you pull in it looks amazing, but that’s not where you go with thousand trails membership! You get the complete trash sites, in with the live ins at the outside of the old park with the sedate overrun! DO NOT JOIN THOUSAND TRAILS!!!!!!!! It’s a waist !

I had high hopes when I signed up for the Thousand Trails pass, but my stay has been a major letdown, mostly due to the staff. While there are a few decent employees who actually seem to care, the overall culture here is toxic and unprofessional. Many staff members come across as disrespectful and overly vigilant, always on the prowl to catch guests breaking some minor rule instead of focusing on making our time enjoyable. It’s frustrating—they act more like strict hall monitors in a school than helpful hosts at a resort. I wish they’d put half that energy into ensuring visitors are having a good day. The folks working in the on-site convenience store are the worst offenders and have made me seriously regret committing to this membership. I hate to generalize or sound sexist, but it’s often the female staff who are downright nasty and rude, tripping over themselves to enforce every little regulation with zero warmth. In contrast, the male employees tend to be more genuine, checking in to see if you’re enjoying your stay and offering real assistance. If I hadn’t already locked myself into the pass, I’d be packing up and heading to a different campground without a second thought. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere for a relaxing getaway.

We were surprised on our return visit to Thousand Trails Orlando. They no longer allow you to pick your site, they are assigned for you. They did not give you an option to view sites on the park map when making the reservation. The site we got was in the old section right next to a closed bathhouse (we were told by other campers it was closed for a couple of years) with broken asphalt and sewer smell! When I asked if we could change sites they gave us two to look at, both occupied. We asked for at least a picnic table and they said none were available. We were definitely going to purchase a membership but this was not a pleasant experience and looking at the reviews of their other parks in Florida we will pass on Thousand Trails!!

They finally changed this campground to assigned sites instead of first come-first served. There are no more mile-long lines waiting to get in at noon. What an improvement! We got a site in the older new section and it is wonderful. The newer new section is done as well, so there is plenty of open sites now.
