I’m a Cabin Pass holder and have stayed at several Thousand Trails locations. The staff are always very nice and helpful, and the check-in process is smooth and easy. The lake at this site is so relaxing and beautiful, and the location is very convenient — close to shopping and amenities.
However, the cabin itself really needs some repairs. The mattresses are very uncomfortable, and there’s no barbecue provided for the cabins. The door handle was broken, and when I mentioned it to the staff, they kindly offered to move me to another cabin — but unfortunately, the mattresses there were just as bad. The shower handle was also broken.
Overall, great staff and beautiful surroundings, but the cabins could use better maintenance and upgrades.

We’ve been staying here off and on and the park is beautiful and the staff are friendly. The park, unfortunately, is growing more dangerous. Last week I was delivering to a specific site when their unattended dog aggressively chased me out to where its lead jerked its neck. I reported it to the park and was assured they’d address it. This met my expectations as things come up but addressing safety is important. Luckily I wasn’t a child getting a stray ball or something.
Yesterday during my morning walk I passed by this site and found the dog unattended again. It barked as we walked by and the owner yelled at it from inside the camper. I submitted a complaint to the park in writing.
This morning I was on my morning walk when sure enough, dog still unattended outside.
So please factor this in if you have kids or an expectation that the park will address safety concerns appropriately.

I felt this was a great park until we arrived and packed in here like a sardines. I don't want to look inside my neighbor's RV while I'm eating my dinner. I don't want to walk out and sit near my firepit to be blinded by my other neighbors lights. The rules only apply to short term campers. If you see your neighbors who live here longer they can do what they want and the office does not care. Why put long term near the short terms. I will never understand. They keep all their belongs in the yards and I mean I am looking at dirty underwear handing out on a old tent base. They can threaten people and just have you write a report. I am tired of Thousand Trails and their rules to only apply to short term.

Most disrespectful rv place I have ever been to.
I stayed here with the idea of buying a membership to save money on my work travels, but within the first few days of being here that changed my mind very quickly. The almost nightly police presence from alcohol and drug related fights, arguments and domestic disputes at sites near me I decided to contacted the front office in the welcome center to ask about moving my site. I spoke with a lady named Emily about the issue and she was very quick and rude to respond with “ and what do you want me to do about that” I asked if I could simply move to any other site as I have a small 30 amp trailer that could go anywhere. The park was fairly empty at this time and she responded in a very rude manner of NO I said there are no open spots. I asked if I could speak to a manager she quickly told me no that Amy wasn’t in yet and she was the only one working. I don’t feel I was asking too much as I was just asking for any site away from the issues going on. I also find that hard to believe at 10:30 am she was the only one working and zero management was there on a Friday to speak with about my concerns. It has been a week now and I have still yet to receive a return phone call from Amy as requested. I have since left needless to say I have not nor would I recommend buying a membership for Thousand Trails if this is how guests are treated. There were a lot of empty sites while I was there that remained empty my entire stay and were still empty when I left. Very sad that you employe people that don’t truly enjoy doing a job they signed up for in a so called welcome center that was anything but welcoming. And this includes management that doesn’t return phone calls for a legitimate complaint. You can’t tell me they are not aware of all the police presence all hours of the night and no they were not just patrolling there were legitimate fights and domestic violence disputes happening.
I would never ever recommend this place to any of my coworkers and I absolutely would never bring my family here for the lack of safety and disrespectful so called welcome center staff.
This company should be ashamed to have an employee like Emily and if the so called manager Amy if she even exists, she should be ashamed to hold that management title and not show any concern. Shame on me for thinking someone or a company would care. They took my money and couldn’t even follow through with the value they thrive on.
