  Love this spot. I have played in a number of leagues and other tournaments. Place is a blast if you are a forreal golfer. And it is so fun if just getting into the game...you wont loose a ball here. Which is nice. Ethan, Matt, and Ray are some of the most helpful, best guys there.

  Jen was a fabulous server and bartender who made sure all of our needs and silly requests were fulfilled (thank you for giving my hubby an espresso martini in his requested “manly” glass LOL) while absolutely holding down the joint!!! She was managing the bar, running food, taking orders, and helping us out with the golf system all at the same time! Our whole group was very impressed and we will certainly be coming back too see our new friend. Thanks for everything, Jen!

  Booked a simulator at Five Iron for my birthday with a group of friends and Jack Whelan seriously made the whole night. It was just us hanging out, but he treated it like it was something special. Everything ran smoothly, the vibes were great, and the simulator was an absolute blast. We were laughing the whole time. Jack made sure we were taken care of the entire time. You can tell he actually cares about people having a good experience. If you’re going to Five Iron, hope you get Jack. He made my birthday perfect.

  Five Iron is by far, the best place in downtown DC to host any type of event you’re planning to do. Their Event Producer, Jack Whelan is the most wonderful event host I’ve meet In DC and was incredibly helpful for all of my event needs! He made sure all of my guests were happy, even though a lot of us hadn’t play golf ever! He made sure all the requests we had were successfully met and we had so much fun! I’ll definitely come back here anytime I can because the ambience is not only great for events, but also, is really fun, relaxed and has a great atmosphere overall.

  1. My husband stood at the bar for longer than necessary before one guy that was turned around asked my husband was the guy that was facing him helping him - which he was not. 2. My husband orders the tacos at approx. 1155. When our time was over at our simulator at 1PM, he had not received his tacos. We ended up asking to not have our card charged, and not to worry about the tacos. 3. A clean up/set up time should be built in between groups. As our time reservation was starting 12:00pm. The other group was in the bay gathering their clubs while we were being moved into the bay. Their drinks were still all over the table, and the we needed to gather the ball/tees the other group used. Same experience upon leaving - a group was being moved in as we were gathering our clubs except I had cleaned up our balls and tees. 4. The bay/simulator itself is great & fun. However, customer service is lacking which affects the overall experience.
