Charlie patiently spent over two hours watching me blade and chunk shots, thinking it was the different clubs I was trying. When I was adamant that I wanted to buy new clubs he offered to sell me the ones with the "best" numbers, but highly suggested I invest in a few lessons instead. We've been working together ever since and I have taken over 10 strokes off my handicap this season alone. Charlie and the GOLFTEC team genuinely care about improving your game, not just selling you expensive clubs. Cannot recommend working with these guys highly enough! Go in for a swing evaluation (I think it will be free if you mention this review!)

I want to increase my distance off the tee which sets up the rest of my game – shorter approach shot, hopefully closer to pin. This is what I learned with the cool GOLFTEC technology and my skilled instructor, Charlie Hickey, and have been able to execute: Draws and hooks go further and even if I miss the fairway I’m 20-30 yards further on my drive. Changing your driving setup and swing from outside-in to inside-out are difficult tasks but doable with practice and confidence on the course. It takes time and effort. What’s great is that you can see the change with the technology (data, instructor video analysis, on-line lessons/tips). It convinced me to change and commit to a different approach. I definitely found the lessons worth it. My son-in-law is also improving with GOLFTEC too. But now he’s given me a way to stay ahead. Yah baby!

Why do I need a Swing Evaluation
The Swing Evaluation gives both Coach and student a clear visual and numerical baseline for both indicating where improvement is necessary and measuring the improvement. We highly recommend the Swing Evaluation for every student, from beginner to competitive player. It allows us to understand your current swing and goals and helps determine the right lesson plan for you.
Are your lessons expensive?
Prices vary by the lesson plan, features included, and region, but they are highly competitive with teaching professionals in each area. However, each GOLFTEC Student will start with a Swing Evaluation which is $150.
Do you teach beginners?
We love teaching golfers who are just picking up the sport! Our coaches understand the unique needs of beginners and know how to make their sessions comfortable and enjoyable.
Can I take lessons at any location?
Absolutely! Your Coach will be able to help you find another Center and Coach. You can also use any GOLFTEC location when you are traveling.
Can I take lessons outdoors?
On-course instruction on specific shots and course management are a great complement to in-bay swing lessons and are offered at most locations.
Will you change my swing?
Changes to your swing may be necessary given your specific golfing problems and goals. We begin with your current swing and work on adjustments to make it more effective and productive.
Does GOLFTEC sell clubs?
Yes. We will order clubs based on your TECFIT club fitting or your specifications if you choose not to have a fitting. With our large buying power and relationships with leading manufacturers, we can sell custom clubs for the same price that you would pay for off-the-rack clubs at many retailers.
How is your club fitting different from others?
Our TECFIT club fitting system provides a precision, agnostic fitting experience. All GOLFTEC Certified Fitters use our advanced launch monitor technology to measure your unique launch conditions. While most other fitters stop there, we utilize our proprietary equipment database of thousands of club/shaft combinations to identify the perfect club configuration to optimize performance based on your swing.
