Part 2 of 2: Pricing and Packages. I recommend evaluating package prices as a complete offer of lessons plus practice time. Most packages include 90 minutes of practice pre week, which, like lessons, you schedule in the app. GolfTec also offer a one-time pause for up to 90-days, which was helpful during my extended vacation in the middle of my 3-month plan. Ask about special prices that are available at certain times of the year. I had limited time and the package of 5 lessons over three months was all I could do - practice is not included in this basic package. I purchased the add-on practice package (you cannot purchase only practice). The 5 lessons package could be your introduction to the process. Note - I do not think the 5-lesson package and practicing on your own will be successful. You need the Practice Package add-on. Conclusion: GolfTec is the wave of the future for improving your game. Friends who use GolfTec have noticeably improved, and my own results demonstrate the process works. The big thing is you must practice regularly –practice at GolfTec makes this very efficient – lunch hour, schedule 30 minutes, work on your turn. The required one-hour swing evaluation is a good starting point to visually assess your game and ensure a match with the system and the coach. You learn a lot from this evaluation. Yes – you will be presented with the various GolfTec packages that are available – that is why you are there. A suggestion - before you schedule your swing evaluation, review the on-line bios for the coaches; see who could be the best match for you; ask your friends. If you have a specific coach in mind, schedule your evaluation with that coach. If not - all the coaches are excellent – they coach to the GolfTec system.

Part 1 of 2: My experience with GolfTec Westminster and my coach, Cathal O’Malley, has been extremely positive. Over a four month period, with lessons approximately every two weeks and practice at GolfTec, we lowered my average score by over 10 strokes and reduced my handicap by 4. Cathal is a perfect match for my style of learning. He has a unique blend of calm listening and coaching skills. We collaborate effectively – good give and take with instruction and what is in my mind, what I am hearing, and what I am thinking. My results come from the GolfTec approach and Cathal’s coaching style. My lessons build on what I need to improve. I leave knowing what and how to practice what we worked on, and I practice at GolfTec. If you improve your swing and ball contact, that improvement applies to every hole you play – your score improves. The GolfTec app includes tabs with videos of key lesson moments, Cathal's spoken analysis from my lesson, "before and after" swing comparisons, lesson notes, notes on "what and how to practice,” and GolfTec practice videos specific to my lesson All previous lesson info is available for review as you practice. Lessons are 30-minutes, focused on only one or two elements as you advance - you don’t need more time – lessons are efficient – there is no wasted time. Lesson time is maximized, using the front screen (simulator provides visual ball flight and all the typical ball flight data), plus GolfTec’s Optimotion system – two cameras (down the line and face-on) that sync video of your swing with body motion numbers (shoulder turn, hip movement, posture, etc.). This visual information creates immediate feedback on what you are working on / what you think you are doing / what you are really doing – and you see the success as you improve. You may leave the lesson wanting “more.” The more comes from practice. Practice is a must for success with the GolfTec approach. Golf is a motor skill – guitar, piano – requires routine, focused practice sessions between lessons. Let’s say lessons are 35% of success, with 65% of your improvement coming from regular practice, focused on what you worked on in your lessons. Practice at GolfTec is the way to improve quickly (90 minutes per week). Consider the improvement you could make if your coach were with you when you practice – supervised practice. At GolfTec, your practice is "supervised by you,” with all the same video capture, shot data, and swing motion numbers available for your analysis as in your lessons. You can pause, play, slowly advance or back up – watch the numbers. Practice is maximized – structured; efficient; no interruptions; your coach will not walk in; indoors; no weather concerns. With practice at GolfTec, you will know what you are working on and how you are doing – you won’t rake and hit balls and fall back to your old ways. Note: 90 minutes per week is interesting – one hour + 30 minutes, or 3 x 30 minutes. Consider 90 minutes the baseline – the Westminster location is flexible with extending time or scheduling additional practice time if space is available -call in advance to inquire. TJ Kenyon is great to work with. He's able to break things down for me, what I need to work on, and why. Before I started working with him, I couldn't hit my hybrids or 3 wood ... at all. They fell in line and I stopped dreading the fairway. We did a club fitting and I decided to start by adding a 5 wood and replacing my driver. WOW, love them and I'm looking forward to seeing where we can take my game. Thanks TJ!
