Our condo was clean and in good condition. If we needed service, maintenance was quick to arrive, friendly and repaired the problem the first time. We were surprised there was no humidifier in the condo and VERY shocked there was a per-day fee to "rent" one!!! With decades of traveling to ski resorts, all over the western US, this was a first. Condo shuttle service was prompt during the day, but ended early at 4:30pm. No apres ski at Avanti, Red Lion or Garfunkel's, unless you walk back in your ski boots. That said, if you're not cooking, you walk to and from Vail village for dinner. It's a "short" walk, but, coming back to the condo, is all uphill in the thin air. Downhill to the village is not a problem. We always used the Transportation Center's elevator, to eliminate some of the uphill. To or from Lionshead, use the "In Town" buses, after the condo's shuttle is done for the day. There is NO Vail bus route stop, in either direction, near the condos. If going to Beaver Creek, condo shuttle to the Transportation Center and used the Beaver Creek Express bus at the second loading location from South Frontage Road. It runs ever 20 minutes. So you don't miss the last shuttle pickup back at Vail's Transportation Center, you MUST leave BC mid-afternoon to leave a time buffer, due to the condo's early shutdown of their shuttle. At BC, there are convient small lockers for your shoes, or a basket check option, between the lower and upper escalators. Look for the Coyote Grill, on the middle level, and go down the hallway to the right. We simply put our boot's top velcro straps together, to carry our boots. We missed BC's infamous apres ski free chocolate chip cookies, due making sure to get the condo's early shutdown schedule. It was a mob scene and they were not between the escalators, as they were years ago.
The Wren has the VERY BEST LOCATION in Vail!! The front desk staff is AAA+. Friendly, and accommodating. You could walk to downtown Vail, and Betty Ford Park is right next door for a walk in the park, fishing, bike riding, and concerts. Easy access to the highway. The condo is older, but they are always updating it, very clean, and views are good to exceptional of the mountains and ski areas from yourbalcony. Has heated pool, sauna and outdoor activities. Parking is good.
