What kind of sport store doesn't have soccer cleats? Clearly they only cater to a monochromatic crowd

Huge shoutout to the bike ship and ski tune service center. Had a problem with my Canyon bike, called REI. They fixed the problem, even called me back to let me know some information about the problem. Top Notch! Brought my Canyon in and took care of it! I had another bike with me, I had some questions about maintenance. The mechanic talked me through the maintenance and then fixed it for me! Great service, great people!

Mark in the snowboard tune up shop was great to interact with. He was very thorough and nice in explaining all the different tune up options for my board and I appreciated that.

Went here for the first time to check out their resupply section for a new sleeping pad. Brad was immediately very helpful! We asked for help making sure a sleeping pad inflated properly and he was more than happy to help us. He even pointed out a fault in the sleeping pad that we would probably have to repair if we bought that sleeping pad, and called John over for another opinion. John was amazing and found a spare part for the pad and then the pad was working perfectly! Brad and John were so nice, friendly, and helpful!

I just bought a new Rocky Mountain altitude from this Rei. I love the bike but after only 4 hours of riding, the brakes needed bleeding. I took it in and had them bleed the brakes. Took about 5 days to get by bike back. When I got it back, the levers felt a little better but I told the mechanic the lever travel was still way too long. I could pull the lever half way to the handle bars before the brakes even engaged. And they still felt spongy. I told him this and he told me that this was normal. I thought to myself… shimano slx brakes this expensive shouldn’t feel like this. The free travel was over an inch before engagement. Another tech verified this was normal. So I reluctantly said ok, I’ll try it out. Well I came home, and watched some videos on bleeding slx brakes and all the videos I watched after a sucsessful bleed have free travel of about 1 cm before they engaged an the engagement was discribed as very firm. So I was completely gas lit by the techs there. Also when I test rode my bike when I got home I noticed a loud clicking sound coming from my front brakes as I tested them. Whoever worked on my brakes didn’t tighten my front caliper! It was loose and wiggeling around like an antsy child on a long car ride. That’s just terrible. I would have destroyed my front brakes if I didn’t catch this. I’ll be bleeding my own brakes and doing it right.Very disappointed with the quality of work to adjust my clearly spongy brakes. Bike is great, the techs there suck though. They are either incompetent or they just didn’t want to take the bike back in and do the work right. Needless to say I won’t even be bringing my bike back for the year of free adjustments. Just not worth the risk.
