  When we got to our room and pulled back the covers there were multiple hairs on the sheets and some brown marks all over. We called front desk and she very kindly moved our room. At the next room, the sheets were fine so we went to bed. Took a shower in the morning and in the new room, the towels had brown marks on them. Overall a pretty gross place, and after staying at Monarch up the road recently for the same price and more than 3x the cleanliness, likely won’t spend money here again!

  We stayed at Ameristar for a quick one-night getaway and booked a Premier King room after chatting with an online agent who advised it was an updated room on a higher floor… exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately, the room did not feel updated and was quite worn and dated (bed pealing and only 1 usb port in room on one clock). I’d hate to see what a standard room looks like. On the positive side, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and the water pressure was great. We skipped the pool due to how crowded it was with kids and didn’t go back after 7 to check out the adults-only time. Overall, it was okay for one night, but the room didn’t meet expectations for a “premier” category.

  You won't t believe THE MAJOR BULL that happened when I was playing some "kitty kat" game at Ameristar and was about to hit the jackpot on a progressive play.. 3 FREE SPINS LEFT and I already hit the next level up 3x, I was at the THOUSAND+ amount, THEN THE SPINNER LANDS ON JACKPOT, and the whole machine blacks out, and glitches, then turns off. Me and all the witnesses yell "NO"!! Then it turns back on, my winnings are GONE!! I hit the services button,and no one comes, I wait, and no one comes. Then I see a message on the screen to press play, it says "all machine malfunctions voids out all plays and pays".. I called for a service helper and they pretty much dont give a rats ass, i get a "sorry.. it happens." Disclaimer is on the machine. I AM STILL SOOOO PISSED !! What kind of SCAM IS THAT!!! Its NEW YEARS DAY and I was about to be a big winner. Will never go play here again!

  Great casino besides the fact they make it hard to get a drink even if you’re trying to pay for it. I started playing slots at the bar to get the free drink but more just to get someone to serve me, I never got served and when I asked the bartender she thought they already gave me a high noon and gave me a nasty look. Ended up paying for a drink and when I finished it spent another 20 minutes in the sports book trying to BUY a drink and just didn’t get served. This place sucks if you’re trying to have fun but okay to gamble. I’m not here for free drinks but I’d like to drink. I don’t know if I will ever be back

  I am giving our stay a 2. I submitted this to Ameristar prior to checking out on 12.13.25. This is no longer a 4 or 3 star hotel. There are not accessible entrances on anh on the parking garage floors. NONE. The hotel advertisements cater to the 50 plus crowd. We need accessiblity. All ages should have these rights. The hot tub inside is not working and is rusty. The hot tub outside was working. Jowever there was naked man dancing outside on the morning of 12.12.25. I had to call security. The staff is overworked. No one is available to assist as a bellhop and you must leave your license as a deposit to take one to your room. We used to visit this hotel at least a couple of times a year. The last time we were there New Years Eve 2024. It seemed the entire cleaning staff left. The carpets were dirty and there were empty wine glasses everywhere. I will never visit here again. Ameristar has competition since 2020 with Monarch. You would think they would attempt to shine the place up. Clean the elevator mirrors. Shine tje wood with some OLD English. Shampoo the carpets and replace the carpet in areas where it is dirty or worn. Fix the hot tubs. And clean. Regards DENICE AND STEVE CRUZ
