  I like my new e-bike a lot. I convinced my friend to get the same one too. The associate that helped me was great. He was kind and helpful. 3 stars because the general vibe of the store feels off; the other associate that was helping the first one was very PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE and made the interaction AWKWARD and UNCOMFORTABLE. I think her name was Kira, she came in trying to help the first associate and started telling him all that he was doing wrong, and how to do it right (which turned out to be wrong) and then left halfway through. I had to walk away and look at the aisles to avoid second hand embarrassment. Big yikes. I still love my bike but would avoid this specific store.

  Went to the store today to have my new snowboard bindings installed (both purchased at REI). As it's my first pair of Supermatic bindings, I wanted the shop to install them, especially since they advertise a reduced rate. I brought my boots, but the employee said they weren't needed for the installation. This was unusual, as other shops always require boots to check for heel/toe drag. I explained that Supermatic bindings require adjustments to ensure proper boot clipping, but the employee said they only do "straightforward" installs after speaking with a tech. I miss Helm in Santa Cruz; they were much more knowledgeable. The REI store is a bike, ski, and snowboard repair center, but I only saw one set of skis that had been worked on. Perhaps selling bindings that the store isn't familiar with isn't recommended. I left with my gear.
