  Our group visited Bowlero on Thornwood Drive San Jose on Presidents’ Day. The electric energy and perfect atmosphere made it ideal for a fun outing. Despite the crowd, the exceptional service from manager Allan and the staff stood out. Multi-media screens at each lane kept everyone entertained, and the arcade offered a mix of classic and new games which the kids enjoyed. The surprisingly good food, though a bit delayed, was fresh, hot, and delicious. The clean, roomy, and modern-styled venue is perfect for any occasion. It’s definitely the best bowling spot in San Jose! We’re already planning to return often. Thanks for a fun and memorable time.

  For starters the lanes don't work. We purchased multiple games in two lanes. Both games froze mid due to technical difficulties. We tipped. We ordered food and drinks. We had one party member drinking an outside beverage he brought in. Without warning, the manager Cole Nicholson closed our lanes and ended our games. Do not try to have a good time here. Cole will ogle at the women and end your game without warning if there's a beverage brought in by a guest. In summary, the lanes constantly go down and the manager here is not someone you want watching your party like an absolute creep. Now I understand why this place isn't busy.

  Unfortunately, management’s decision to reduce staffing or unprepared for President’s Day (maybe to save a few buck$?) was a huge mistake. My group of four showed up at 1:30pm and were told all lanes were full and wait time would be approximately 1-2 hours. So we left our name and phone number on the waitlist. I explained to the clerk that I left four phone messages the night before, for someone to call me back, as stated on their automated system, so I could find out how to get the promo price ($19.99 per person) instead of the $204 the website wanted to charge and reserve my lane for that Monday. There were literally only 3 employees working on the floor that afternoon—with nearly 300 bowlers. While we waited at the bar (with no bartender), there were at least 4 separate customers asking us if we had seen the bartender because their groups had ordered drinks and food “more than 60-90 minutes ago.” The look of despair, anger and disappointment clearly on their faces. I don’t blame the 3 employees working that day/time because I could see how much they struggled to take care of 50 lanes occupied with 4-6 bowlers in each lane. The bartender showed up 50 minutes into our wait and helped calm things down with the waiting drink orders. I walked the lanes 80 minutes into our wait and found at least 6 lanes open. Since I was 2nd on the waitlist, I informed the Check-in clerk and she said we had to wait till an employee cleared and cleaned the tables. After waiting 15 more minutes, our group said, “enough” and we left. Needless to say, our patience was tested and we left disappointed.

  Come for the bowling but stay 2 hours waiting for a lane and just play video games. 50 lanes only 25 working.
