Walked in at 9am on a Sunday morning, looking to be fitted for some clubs. There was absolutely no body in the store. When my wife and I told the guy behind the desk that we're trying to get fitted, he cringed and said, "We only do that by appointment." There was nothing on their website stating that information. So what a waste of time. Don't go there if you are trying to spend a few grand on clubs!

I had 10 lessons at the Stevens Creek location. The technology of their system is amazing but I do have some complaints. First, they don’t leave the analytics and number up while you swing. So you come in and hit a few balls. Even if your shots are decent, the first swing they will analyze will be a not-so-great/ horrible hot. Then, over the course of the lesson (30 min total) they try real hard to get your swing plane corrected so that by the end of the lesson they have at least one good hit to compare to your initial not-so-great hit. This gives you an idea that you’ve gotten better throughout the lesson. The next 9 lessons were similar…I’d come in slicing and chunking but if I had at least one good hit by the end of the lesson, it was considered a successful lesson. But as many golfers know, one good strike in 30 min doesn’t help your muscle memory. This is where your part comes in to take the info, review the lesson and work on your game at the range and on the course. I worked and worked but continued to shank. I’m still slicing and dicing and although I know why, I still can’t fix it. The rotational numbers of the hips and shoulders along with the swing plane lines should be in the screen at Golftech the entire lesson to help the student gain a better idea of his position. Don’t just do this during the review of the pre and post lesson swing Golftech! Give the people more info and use that technology for more than teeing me up for more lessons. 10 lessons were about $950 bucks and I guess I just expected more. Free use of the facility to practice your hits were never encouraged or scheduled by the staff. Hitting into that blank white screen needs to change too. Not completely a waste of time but definitely not a great value for me.
The Swing Evaluation gives both Coach and student a clear visual and numerical baseline for both indicating where improvement is necessary and measuring the improvement. We highly recommend the Swing Evaluation for every student, from beginner to competitive player. It allows us to understand your current swing and goals and helps determine the right lesson plan for you.
