  I wanted to share an amazing experience I had at Golf Town on McGillivray. Around Father’s Day (which also happens to be my birthday), I purchased three PXG wedges. My family had given me Golf Town gift cards because they all knew I had been wanting a new set of wedges. I did my own research before buying and made the purchase myself. Unfortunately, after having them re-gripped and playing a few rounds, I quickly realized they just weren’t the right fit for my game. In my opinion, they were a huge disappointment. Thinking I was stuck with them, I contacted PXG directly. Their Canadian representative basically told me, “too bad,” and suggested I spend another $300 changing the shafts. Needless to say, I wasn’t impressed. After that conversation, I called Golf Town on McGillivray and spoke with Carsen. He told me to bring the clubs in and assured me he would speak with the store manager to see what they could do. When I arrived Thursday morning, I was greeted by Ryliee, their club fitting specialist, along with the store manager (I’m sorry I can’t remember his name). Right away they made me feel like they genuinely wanted to help. Ryliee took the time to explain how different grinds and bounce options would better suit my game and handicap. Instead of just recommending a club, he brought me into the simulator and had me hit 30–40 shots with three different brands. We worked through the options until we found the setup that actually fit my swing. I’ll admit I was nervous about how much more this was going to cost, especially after already spending a significant amount on the PXG wedges. To my surprise, Golf Town took the PXG wedges back at full purchase price and let me exchange them for the wedges that were actually right for me. I paid a small difference to upgrade to a premium model, which was completely fair. This is what customer service is supposed to look like. They didn’t have to help me, but they chose to. They listened, educated me, and made sure I left with equipment that fit my game instead of simply making a sale. A huge thank you to Carsen, Ryliee, the store manager, and the entire team at Golf Town McGillivray. If you’re looking for knowledgeable staff, honest advice, and customer service that goes above and beyond, I can’t recommend this store enough

  Came to the Winnipeg South store for a driver and was very impressed. Tayson, the sales person walked me through the simulator data, let me test the latest models from multiple major brands, and dialed in the perfect shaft flex and loft adjustments for my swing. Fantastic service and high-tech setup. Excellent experience and highly recommend this guy!

  I recently went shopping for golf clothes at this location in Winnipeg (Tuxedo). A friendly and very helpful employee. I believe is her name is Lynn. She made me feel most welcome in the store. She took my measurements (width and length). She helped me look for matching sets of clothes. She made my shopping experience 100% fun, enjoyable and easy. 🙂👍🏾

  Carson is the man. Guy has unreal golf knowledge. Definitely recommend speaking with this intelligent fella if you come to golftown.
