This is actually one of my faves. If the roads hadn’t been so washed out and sketchy it would get 5 stars. The recent storms really messed them up. The bathrooms were tired but the water and heater were hot. The area is beautiful and some sites are better than others. The vibe was quiet and serene. The laundromats had a nice folding table. I would go back.

Our stay at Thousand Trails was a spontaneous detour that added beautifully to our little adventure. We arrived on a whim, without a reservation and were greeted before we even reached the stairs by Chris and Matthew, who welcomed us with beautiful smiles and genuine hospitality. Their kindness set the tone for the whole experience; effortless, accommodating, and full of heart. Though our visit was just for the night, the park felt wonderfully cared for. It was clean, peaceful, and clearly tended to with pride and care. Our campsite was a generous size and close to the restrooms. Navigating the park in the dark was a bit of an interesting challenge (the space signs could use a little extra glow and display) however, with a map and a sense of adventure, we found our way after one scenic route around the park. Thousand Trails, you made a spontaneous getaway feel like a weekend retreat, with the level of hospitality and care from the moment of arrival. Thank you so very much. The next visit will be for more than one night.

This park is beautiful. Having said that if you have anything bigger than 25 feet you are in for a rude awakening. The road coming in is very tight and the park is just as tight. There needs to be a large amount of road and site work done to make the park more accessible. We have a 29 foot fifth wheel and did damage the truck backing in due to incline of the site. I have to say if I still owned my tent trailer that I had 25 years ago this would be my favorite park.
