  I would like to shout out Tony for his helpful nature this evening at this REI. We came in 20 minutes before closing and were looking for a new carry-on backpack. He helped us pick out a great option and showed me how to best distribute weight across my back for those long travel days. He also helped my boyfriend get a new day pack. All in 15 minutes.

  Went in looking lightweight, rain jacket after failing to find at other stores staff was very friendly and helpful Tried on multiple sizes. Multiple brands decided on the REI 2.5 lightweight staff said would stand up to light rain all day. They were absolutely correct worn Alaska four days fishing. Light rain all day. Paired well with layers Stayed dry 10 hr days has pit zips body moisture did not build up Was not plastic feeling or crinkly Will try them for other needs

  This is not the largest REI but it is the one nearby. Anything can be shipped here fairly easily if it isn't in stock. I always forget which number is used for the coop membership but the staff is always patient!

  Terrible customer service experience from REI for the holidays. REI canceled my order without notification. The order was supposed to be a Christmas present. I contacted their corporate helpline and they said REI canceled the order because they applied too much discount. The helpline manager said they would not honor the price REI originally charged. Below is the email response I received from REI customer service on December 22: “Unfortunately we are unable to honor the additional discount that the store mistakenly applied to this order, I am really sorry about that. The Yeti's are still 20% off until the end of the day today if you would like to take advantage of that sale price. We love serving our members and appreciate you supporting the co-op since 2015! REI Customer Service”

  I had a very disappointing experience with Robert when trying to return a defective product. Instead of being helpful, the associate told me that I had “got pretty good use of it,” which felt dismissive and disrespectful ,especially as a paying member of this store.I wasn’t trying to abuse the return policy; the item was genuinely defective. As a member, I expect professionalism and respectful customer service, not comments that make me feel blamed for a faulty product. This interaction left a bad impression, and I hope the store addresses how associates handle returns and speak to customers.
