Nestled within Tahoe National Forest, high in California’s Sierra Nevadas, is a resort of unique splendor. Thousand Trails Snowflower RV Campground’s mountains and valleys, forests and trails evoke a feeling of wonder and joy to all who experience them. Many resorts offer a place to set camp, near destinations of natural beauty and recreation. At Snowflower you can, for a time, make your home at a lakeside, in the middle of a forest scape, or even at the very edge of a cliff face, high above Six Mile Valley! When you stay at Snowflower, you are staying at a resort that is itself as magnificent as a National Park or Forest!
We offer cabins with full kitchens, yurts for glamping, and beautiful sites with hook-ups for RVs and tents. Enjoy our magnificent Alpine Lodge, swimming pool, playgrounds and sports courts. Our Recreation Department provides opportunities to enjoy fishing, kayaking, sports, games, nature hikes, arts and crafts, and direct you to adjacent lands for mountain biking and ATV enjoyment.
If you feel the desire to balance your stay at Snowflower RV Campground with the best culture that the Sierras has to offer, there is nearby historic Truckee: from its fantastic restaurants, cafes, boutiques, and galleries, to its top-notch discount stores. And if you want even more, less than 20 minutes from Truckee, is the shore of Lake Tahoe itself.

Just got back from two weeks of October glamping in 1000 Trails Snowflower. Collette the camp host once again gave us a warm friendly welcome. She can answer all your questions. All of the staff was readily available if needed to answer questions or help. They were busy getting the camp ready for the coming winter. Our experience was lots of fun trail riding, quiet hiking with the dog and not so great fishing. Walking the shower and sitting by the lake was an episode of different experience from the summer when it is much busier in a good way. Lake was beautifully serene with the fall colors reflecting off the water. Picture perfect. Lodge was open with activities to do. Day trip to Truckee and Tahoe was a wonderful experience also. Thank you Collette once again for your hospitality and service.

Our group with small children had an amazing time and loved the RV campgrounds. We collectively stayed in the Redwoods and it was beautiful. Everything was so clean and well maintained. The lake was great for fishing and good hiking trails. Colette and staff are extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful.
