I don’t even know where to start. Moores has been such a blessing to our family. The skills, self discipline, respect and confidence it has instilled in my daughter can never be matched. Guy is an exceptional leader, friend, and mentor. My daughter has been taught how to not only defend herself but love herself. Guy treats each and everyone as if they are his family. The vibe you get from walking in the door till the time you leave is unexplainable. It has a sense of home, family, and fun. Hands down would recommend moores to anyone looking for a studio. We LOVE Moores!

This place is great. Learn excellent self defense and martial arts from this place. Moore’s takes the adult side of its program seriously while providing a great kids program. Seriously, Shigong is fantastic with kids.

I originally took my daughter to Moores in January on the promo special and I was planning on going to jujitsu classes, but the Instructor was really nice and knowledgeable and I decided to try the Adult classes out to see if they interested me. My goal with martial arts is self defense, and the first class I went to addressed that, which was a winner for me, so I signed up with my daughter. I teach yoga, and I absolutely love this program for cross training physically, as well as the confidence I feel about having some skills to get out of a dangerous situation should I ever have the misfortune of getting into one. My daughter has already advanced to the next belt (for kids her age its about participation), and the instructor/owner Shi Gung Kemp is very good with her. He knows when to be gentle with students (in her case, in the beginning when she was shy and very intimidated by the classes. .. she is four), and he also knows when to be more assertive, which is such a delicate balance and honestly in my opinion what makes a really good teacher for any student. She is more disciplined, and confident as a result of him working with her, as well as coordinated! Right now she is able to take classes virtually during the COVID crises, which is awesome. She just got another stripe last week! I have also been able to maintain my classes, and am able to do a virtual session for my belt testing. Having something solid and familiar has been helpful for us to stay on a constant routine. I have become friends with a few of the other parents that have been there for several years and they have nothing but wonderful things to say about how the program that Guy runs. Many families are like ours - Where the parents and the children are taking classes (its a family event!). Being an instructor myself, I can see how deeply the owner cares about his students, their progress, and the classes that he leads. Lastly, the details - There is ample parking, the facility is clean (they teach the kids to clean up after themselves too. BONUS!), and the classes are physically challenging but available for those at all levels of fitness. Its a great program, I look forward to the physical location re-opening when the COVID crises is over - but I hope they keep the online classes for when we travel!
