The cheaper entry point into fitting and lessons is the draw for Golftec, the downside is that you, as a customer, bear more responsibility to know what you need out of the service.
I found them through the Titleist.com as an official retailer where I was looking to get fit between 2 club models. With this very specific use case I thought I'd have success in getting what I needed out of the service.
When I was warming up, I was told that one of the clubs I wanted to try was potentially not available -- the fitter would have to check "the back". As I got warmed up, and hit a few different clubs, I was told the club I wanted to try is not available to hit but an alternative Mizuno club would be used instead.
I should have ended the session there, but being in that environment, it's hard to think in your best interest when your focus is to perform and hit golf shots for a big purchase decision.
I was told halfway through my fitting that I'm not the "typical" golfer when I asked why we had not tried a variety of shafts, so my options would be limited. I was only given 2 iron shaft options.
It's truly hard to see the value of a place like this, I'd recommend going to a more specialized shop like Modern Golf, where they won't treat you as just another appointment on their schedule. Otherwise, go directly with an OEM fitting centre like at Northview or UBC. This place seems stuck in between with no real advantage to the average or informed consumer.

Matt has been a phenomenal coach - two things that really stood out for me were how he took the time to teach me Golftec’s tools and software so I could really make the most of the practice pass, and how he worked with me to get into the stats and physics of breaking down the golf swing to really fine tune things. I’ve seen more than a few strokes shaved off my game, and I highly recommend booking sessions with him!

I have been golfing for 40 years, and I finally booked lessons with Will Ni to get a couple of pointers. Yikes! I guess I was not really golfing. I am now learning how to golf properly and guess what, my new game has improved! Look forward to continuing my journey.
