- JMJeff Magnolo2 days ago5.0I started golfing again about 2 years ago when I retired and started my lessons with Golftec North Vancouver. I was scoring about 105 to 110 before Golftec lessons. After a number of lessons over the last two years with Matt my instructor I just broke 90 shooting 88 and 89 on two separate days in June 2026. So my handicap is now 20. Next step for me now is tightening up my short game to continue my progress and get to a 17 to 18 handicap. Matt is a great instructor and I have learned a lot from him. I have used a saying for many years. " Practice does not make perfect. Practice makes permanent." So without any lessons you are just hacking and hoping and your practice is making a poor swing permanent. Can't emphasize enough to take lessons if you want to get better.

- GHGuyle HetmanJun 1, 20265.0Had a great experience with Tyler M during an iron fitting at the North Vancouver Golftec on May 26/26. He asked a few questions and I told him what I was looking for (add a club or so distance as previous irons were 13+ years old). Also mentioned that I was partial to TaylorMade and so if we could make something work with that brand it would be great. Worked through a series of 7 iron shots with my old Speedblades, as well as new QI Max and P790's, both with a couple different shafts. Tyler walked me through the shot data and key numbers to look at. After reviewing all the numbers we decided on the QI Max irons with KBS Tour Lite steel shafts (tried slightly heavier shafts and really no improvement in the numbers). Tyler placed the order for my new TaylorMade irons immediately and then called me a couple days later to inform me Golf Town had a TaylorMade promotion on and I was due a small credit/refund for that amount I'd spent (and thay my new irons would arrive in just 2 weeks). All in all a very good experience with Tyler M at Golftec, North Vancouver.
- CHCindy HoangMar 21, 20261.0I’ve had a disappointing experience at the North Vancouver GOLFTEC location. On multiple occasions, scheduled practice sessions were impacted by delays and bays not being ready at the booked time. When you’re paying for structured practice, consistency and preparedness should be a given. On one occasion, when we asked an on-site coach for help locating an available bay, he responded in a raised and frustrated manner, explaining he was in the middle of a lesson that was already running late. This added to the overall sense of disorganization and lack of professionalism. We raised these concerns in hopes of a constructive resolution, but it didn’t feel like the service issues were fully acknowledged or addressed. To their credit, alternative options were offered, but the overall experience left us feeling that expectations around professionalism and time management were not met.

Why do I need a Swing Evaluation
The Swing Evaluation gives both Coach and student a clear visual and numerical baseline for both indicating where improvement is necessary and measuring the improvement. We highly recommend the Swing Evaluation for every student, from beginner to competitive player. It allows us to understand your current swing and goals and helps determine the right lesson plan for you.
Are your lessons expensive?
Prices vary by the lesson plan, features included, and region, but they are highly competitive with teaching professionals in each area. However, each GOLFTEC Student will start with a Swing Evaluation which is $150.
Do you teach beginners?
We love teaching golfers who are just picking up the sport! Our coaches understand the unique needs of beginners and know how to make their sessions comfortable and enjoyable.
Can I take lessons at any location?
Absolutely! Your Coach will be able to help you find another Center and Coach. You can also use any GOLFTEC location when you are traveling.
Can I take lessons outdoors?
On-course instruction on specific shots and course management are a great complement to in-bay swing lessons and are offered at most locations.
Will you change my swing?
Changes to your swing may be necessary given your specific golfing problems and goals. We begin with your current swing and work on adjustments to make it more effective and productive.
Does GOLFTEC sell clubs?
Yes. We will order clubs based on your TECFIT club fitting or your specifications if you choose not to have a fitting. With our large buying power and relationships with leading manufacturers, we can sell custom clubs for the same price that you would pay for off-the-rack clubs at many retailers.
How is your club fitting different from others?
Our TECFIT club fitting system provides a precision, agnostic fitting experience. All GOLFTEC Certified Fitters use our advanced launch monitor technology to measure your unique launch conditions. While most other fitters stop there, we utilize our proprietary equipment database of thousands of club/shaft combinations to identify the perfect club configuration to optimize performance based on your swing. Clubs fit and built to your unique swing DNA will lead to greater consistency, distance, and confidence on the golf course.
