Olympic Valley Ski & Bike is a family owned, full service ski and snowboard rental, demo and tuning shop. We offer the latest ski and snowboard equipment at a great price with friendly and quick service.
Olympic Valley Ski & Bike (formally known as Mtn. Mike's Sports) opened in 1988, and is part of the The BackCountry family, which has been open in Truckee since 1993.
Our location was built in 1952 by the founders of Squaw Valley, the Poulsens. In 1958 it was transformed for the 1960 Winter Olympics into the "Bear Pen Tavern" and in the mid 70's the tavern became the infamous "Lone Star" which was featured in the 1982 cult classic ski movie, "Hot Dog".
