- RRRhonda Ross2 days ago5.0From Mini-Golf to the Real Deal—Go See Nicholas! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I walked into GOLFTEC Edmonton West Point as an absolute beginner with zero experience outside of a few rounds of mini-golf. I didn’t even know there was a proper way to grip a club! I had spent years sitting in the golf cart watching everyone else, missing out on massive networking and business opportunities during tee-time meetings. I finally decided that wasn't enough anymore. As someone who travels constantly for business, their flexible scheduling has been a lifesaver for booking lessons around my work trips. I also came in carrying a major myth: that a previous fall and shoulder injury would permanently limit my swing. Nicholas called me out on that immediately—in the best way possible. He had me hold a club across my chest and pivot, proving instantly that my body was fully capable. Nicholas has been amazing. He breaks down complex mechanics into logical, practical hacks—like simply pointing my thumbs up to fix my wrist hinge. Just listening to him coach is naturally teaching me the golf lingo as I go, so I am fully prepared to speak the language when I’m ready to go out on the course. Right now, we are focusing on keeping my lead arm straight through impact, prioritizing proper form over raw speed or distance. I might only be hitting it 50 yards max right now, but the real breakthrough is that I am making consistent ball contact every single time. By the end of the 4th lesson I had finally completed my goal of breaking 100, not only breaking 100, but nearly breaking 90. Was able to hit a 92! Amazing teachers, amazing help. Nick was my guy!

I knew that I had some issues with my swing causing inconsistencies in my game. The whole process was fantastic and Olivia went through our swing and provided input on how to improve. She gave us practical tips and drills to set us on a better path. This analysis was invaluable… Olivia was very kind and encouraging. Also, learning from a woman was fantastic. The Swing Evaluation gives both Coach and student a clear visual and numerical baseline for both indicating where improvement is necessary and measuring the improvement. We highly recommend the Swing Evaluation for every student, from beginner to competitive player. It allows us to understand your current swing and goals and helps determine the right lesson plan for you.
Are your lessons expensive?
Prices vary by the lesson plan, features included, and region, but they are highly competitive with teaching professionals in each area. However, each GOLFTEC Student will start with a Swing Evaluation which is $150.
Do you teach beginners?
We love teaching golfers who are just picking up the sport! Our coaches understand the unique needs of beginners and know how to make their sessions comfortable and enjoyable.
Can I take lessons at any location?
Absolutely! Your Coach will be able to help you find another Center and Coach. You can also use any GOLFTEC location when you are traveling.
Can I take lessons outdoors?
On-course instruction on specific shots and course management are a great complement to in-bay swing lessons and are offered at most locations.
Will you change my swing?
Changes to your swing may be necessary given your specific golfing problems and goals. We begin with your current swing and work on adjustments to make it more effective and productive.
Does GOLFTEC sell clubs?
Yes. We will order clubs based on your TECFIT club fitting or your specifications if you choose not to have a fitting. With our large buying power and relationships with leading manufacturers, we can sell custom clubs for the same price that you would pay for off-the-rack clubs at many retailers.
How is your club fitting different from others?
Our TECFIT club fitting system provides a precision, agnostic fitting experience. All GOLFTEC Certified Fitters use our advanced launch monitor technology to measure your unique launch conditions. While most other fitters stop there, we utilize our proprietary equipment database of thousands of club/shaft combinations to identify the perfect club configuration to optimize performance based on your swing. Clubs fit and built to your unique swing DNA will lead to greater consistency, distance, and confidence on the golf course.
