Julius and Justin provided over the top, exceptional customer service. I’m so grateful for their help with my spikes and re-gripping. I’m 100% certain I wouldn’t have gotten the spikes on my shoes out without them - especially Julius. Both of them are golden. Thank you gents. You are the best!

In a world where great customer service can sometimes feel rare, my husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the genuine kindness and exceptional service we received from Julius at Golf Town, Sarcee Trail. When they didn’t have the shoes my husband had his eye on, Julius went above and beyond and called other locations to see if they had them in stock. Unfortunately, none of the other stores had them either, but Julius was gracious in helping us find a similar option that my husband really liked, without ever being pushy or “salesy". He then asked if there was anything else he could help us with and was more than happy to assist. He even spoke with his manager to have a sale price honoured for us. It was such a refreshing experience to deal with someone who was genuinely helpful, patient and clearly cared about making sure we left happy. Julius is a fantastic representative of what customer service should look like. Thank you Julius!

I had my fitting with Avery Sheppard today for Driver and Irons and it was amazing! He was able to pinpoint my fixes. He recommended perfect solutions and was able to fix what I thought was unfixable. I cannot thank him enough.

I had such a great experience at the Golf Town Sage Hill location, thanks to Mark B! As a beginner looking to buy my first set of clubs, I really appreciated how patient and knowledgeable Mark was. He took the time to explain everything in a way that was easy to understand, answered all my questions, and never made me feel rushed or overwhelmed. While I was trying out the clubs, he also gave me some helpful tips on my swing and golf technique, which made the whole experience even more valuable. He was incredibly professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire process. Honestly, this was one of the best shopping experiences I have had. Mark made my first experience shopping for golf clubs so much easier and more enjoyable. I really appreciate all his help and would definitely recommend him to anyone, especially beginners!

I stopped by Golf Town to pick up a few accessories for a round the following day, and unfortunately the entire experience left a pretty poor impression. From the moment I walked in, the store seemed to be in disarray. There were boxes around, clothing and racks that looked like they still needed to be put away, and the overall store just felt cluttered and poorly maintained. I’ve never found the customer service at this location particularly attentive, but this visit stood out even more than usual. I came in specifically looking for two new golf gloves and had a question about sizing. It took me quite a while to actually find someone who could help, so I eventually found the gloves myself and looked up the information I needed online. After that, I browsed some golf shirts. While I was shopping, fairly vulgar rap music was playing throughout the store. I have absolutely nothing against rap music, but some of the lyrics seemed completely out of place in a retail environment, particularly with several older customers shopping nearby. The overall atmosphere felt less like a professional golf store and more like a place where the employees were hanging out. The experience at the till was probably the most disappointing part. The employee working the register barely acknowledged me. While I was standing there, another employee came over to explain that there had been a mix-up involving a driver being given to the wrong customer. The employee at the till responded by repeatedly using the F-word while discussing it, directly in front of customers. Mistakes happen, but speaking like that openly on the sales floor is incredibly unprofessional. The checkout area itself also looked messy, with hangers, clothing clips and debris around the floor. I ended up stretching my budget a little and purchasing a more expensive golf shirt along with the gloves and accessories. After I paid, the employee simply pushed everything toward me. I had to ask for a bag, which seemed to annoy him. He then grabbed my brand-new shirt, balled it up and stuffed it into the bag rather than taking even a few seconds to fold it properly. It may seem like a small thing, but those details are what customer service is. When someone is spending good money in a specialty retail store, acknowledging them, offering help, keeping the store clean, using appropriate language and treating their purchases with some care should be the bare minimum. Experiences like this make it very easy to understand why so many customers are moving to online shopping. A physical golf store should be able to offer something the internet cannot: knowledgeable staff, good service and an enjoyable shopping experience. Unfortunately, on this visit Golf Town offered none of those things. I hope management takes a serious look at the customer experience in this store because it could be much better.
