- RFRon FrankJan 22, 20255.0I am 67 years old and a long time student of Golftec. I originally worked with coach Don Brett Davies who took me from a 17 hcp to an 11 hcp over about 3 years. Tragically DBD passed away in November of 2023 and I subsequently suspended my learning for a year. I resumed my training at Golftec with coach Nathan Hickey on Oct 30, 2024 carrying a solid 10 hcp at the time. It was not easy watching my swing on camera as I had developed some pretty quirky swing flaws over the past year. But in my 30-minute session Nathan he made just 3 minor adjustments to my setup and take away, and I was off!..only to stumble to a next-day 85. But change takes time, and 2 days later I posted a lowest-ever 73 followed by 79, 79, 80, 80 and a 1-under front nine to drop from a 10 to a 6 hcp in 14 days! Not 14 weeks or months – 14 days! Nathan has coached a golf miracle and in my case has shown that less is indeed more. Since then Nathan has helped refine my swing even more (through small adjustments), and I am hitting the ball further, even in winter conditions. The game has never been more fun! And that’s just the irons – next week we take on the beloved driver. I have hit a lot of golf balls and had a lot of golf coaches over the years. If you have a coach like Nathan I don’t care how old you are, how much experience you have, Nathan has the wisdom and temperament to make any golfer better, and enjoy the game more. Almost forgot– if not for my new swing I would have made first hole-in-one last week! Thank you Nathan

Why do I need a Swing Evaluation
The Swing Evaluation gives both Coach and student a clear visual and numerical baseline for both indicating where improvement is necessary and measuring the improvement. We highly recommend the Swing Evaluation for every student, from beginner to competitive player. It allows us to understand your current swing and goals and helps determine the right lesson plan for you.
Are your lessons expensive?
Prices vary by the lesson plan, features included, and region, but they are highly competitive with teaching professionals in each area. However, each GOLFTEC Student will start with a Swing Evaluation which is $150.
Do you teach beginners?
We love teaching golfers who are just picking up the sport! Our coaches understand the unique needs of beginners and know how to make their sessions comfortable and enjoyable.
Can I take lessons at any location?
Absolutely! Your Coach will be able to help you find another Center and Coach. You can also use any GOLFTEC location when you are traveling.
Can I take lessons outdoors?
On-course instruction on specific shots and course management are a great complement to in-bay swing lessons and are offered at most locations.
Will you change my swing?
Changes to your swing may be necessary given your specific golfing problems and goals. We begin with your current swing and work on adjustments to make it more effective and productive.
Does GOLFTEC sell clubs?
Yes. We will order clubs based on your TECFIT club fitting or your specifications if you choose not to have a fitting. With our large buying power and relationships with leading manufacturers, we can sell custom clubs for the same price that you would pay for off-the-rack clubs at many retailers.
How is your club fitting different from others?
Our TECFIT club fitting system provides a precision, agnostic fitting experience. All GOLFTEC Certified Fitters use our advanced launch monitor technology to measure your unique launch conditions. While most other fitters stop there, we utilize our proprietary equipment database of thousands of club/shaft combinations to identify the perfect club configuration to optimize performance based on your swing. Clubs fit and built to your unique swing DNA will lead to greater consistency, distance, and confidence on the golf course.
