Paid for a single Golf lesson at Golftech Tempe and it was a great experience. The instructor was very helpful explaining the technology and how it reflects my swing positions and how to improve myself. Recommend to anyone who is looking to improve their game.

Just had my first golf lesson with Shaun and it was one of the coolest experiences in my life. Within 60 mins, my swing looks 10x better looking as well as performing the way it should perform. Such an amazing experience and is 100000% percent worth it.

Golftec invited me to a "free" lesson and told me what clubs to bring. We completed the lesson including video analysis and then upon exiting, they charged me $125. I complained their practice of misrepresenting the free lesson was unethical. The instructor got defensive and argued with me.

Detailed review of 10 lesson (11 with free first one) package from Golftec and is not just a review of Tempe facility. Never had been to a Goltec facility or lesson prior to purchasing lesson package. I started out at a different facility and finished at the Tempe facility. I booked the 60 minute evaluation and worked with an instructor. He pointed out some common faults and some fixes and offered a reasonable deal of 10 lessons. I decided this worked well for me as I like to work on the lesson and figured about 1 time a month over the next year I would have some decent progress. Took the first 4 lessons over 4 moths or so and while there was marginal improvement I was skeptical about the information I was receiving and the video was getting worse to my eye. It was pretty obvious to me that I was going in the wrong direction and was a bit stuck....I did communicate this with the instructor. Shortly after that the Tempe facility opened and I booked a lesson there. Shockingly I was told I actually had no lessons left though I only used 4 of the 10. Thats because they are only good for 90 days, so 1 lesson every 9 days, this makes ZERO sense to me as if you work and have a family when do you have time to practice before you have to work on something else? This was never communicated to me pre-purchase or post-purchase. The Tempe facility credited me with 5 lessons so I only was out 1 lesson. So let this be a lesson to all who purchase a package, it is time-gated. The first four lessons were clearly a waste and it felt like the next two lessons were fixing stuff the first four lessons had negatively impacted my swing. While the first instructor did not work out I was very happy with the technical knowledge of my second instructor, Shaun O'Neil. The items and sequence of what we worked on over the 5 lessons made sense and there was some good improvement. I would say the positives of Golftec or the motion capture system, the indoor facility, and their players clubhouse website which organizes your lessons and bookings and provides addition information and drills to work on. I would say the cons are the time gated lesson plans (not communicated well if at all) and the assembly line aspect of being a student at this large operation. To explain this a bit better this is the first time I had ever taken lessons that was not at a range or a course. So between lessons and practice it felt like you developed a student teacher relationship during my prior instruction. If I had a question it would be easy to message my instructor or just interact if I saw them practicing. Here you feel a bit like a time slot with very much in/out feel. Heck once (not Shaun) the instructor showed up 15 minutes late due to a fitting going over and there was just time enough for a quick analysis and drill and off he went, so that was like another lost half lesson but they have a time slot schedule to maintain so bad break for me. I would not recommend this company based on my experience. Hope the review helps.
