  The ONE time I’ve ever had to make a return here on a pair of shoes that hurt my tendon on my foot, the employee tells me I have poop on my shoes and that I have to go home to clean them before the return. There was a LITTLE bit of mud in the corner of the shoe yes but to openly say theres poop on my shoe in front of all the other customers is just… wild. He then proceeded to be less than helpful and told me I can go to 2 of their other locations. I came here because this is where I bought them, but after this return gets settled I will probably try to avoid this place as the staff have been dismal at best. Go to AZ Hiking Shack and support a small business!!!!

  Well being members as most people are these days if you love the outdoors, we went in to get more running shoes. Now with their massive selection we had no problem finding exactly what we needed. That's where the review actually begins... with 3 employees working the shoe department I was being patient and just holding the shoe I wanted to see about the size by the door they kept going back and forth to get shoes from, at no time did anyone ask if I or my wife needed any assistance. Now if it had only been a few minutes this would be pointless but with standing there for 20 minutes holding the same shoe and watch the employees walk back and forth in front of me helping everyone else that walked up made me a little irritated. Especially when the woman with the bull ring ignored me twice then walked off to talk to another employee on the other side of the store. So I decided to place the shoe on a mannequins hand like it was on display just to try and get any kind of reaction! To my surprise 2 different employees from that department just walked past the shoe like management must have placed it there. I guess this kind of customer service is why so many people now shop on line.

  Took in a return and it was the most pleasant experience I have ever had. Just a couple of questions and the money was back on my card before I left the counter. I also needed some winter gear for an upcoming trip and I got advice from 3 different people about the best (and most economical) options. Highly recommend!

  Purchased a puffer jacket last week and was excited for my first one. But literally a week later I reach down to lift a cold car battery and the jacket ripped. I just wanted to exchange it for another and the First Gentlemen I spoke to was kind but someone else butted in and told me no due to me lifting called it wear and tear. Which would make sense if I had the jacket longer than a week. He was very rude and cut me off in conversation. I could go get a Walmart shirt and lift something with it and it would probably last better than this. Rei quality is aweful and the customer service needs work. Please listen first then respond in the future.
