  Cool group of bowlers. I haven’t bowled next to a regular bowler who was not friendly and overall inviting. The staff, while frequently rotating and turning over has generally been awesome. We moved to Avondale Bowlero after Fair Lanes closed in 2025 and have been at Avondale ever since. I live just minutes away. I got my two youngest on the youth league which bowls every Saturday at 1:00 and I bowl with them. We had the last birthday party here and have purchased complete bowling ball kits with balls and I have had two balls drilled at this Avondale location by Lonnie who is an expert and incredible. Not to mention my average since joining the youth league has continually gotten better and the people couldn’t be more inviting as I said. And I bowl nearly every night here. A couple of weeks ago I was charged for rental shoes for my two league bowling kids. First, they have never been charged for shoes since joining the league. But mainly because the person charging me for shoes “knows who we are.” Shoes are $40 online and Lonnie will sell you a pair as well, but after you buy the balls and bags, it makes no sense to keep buying new shoes on kids. Thus, paying to rent shoes for kids on their local league just is too corporate for me. Albeit, this location has never felt that way until now. Today was the icing on the cake and all though I live minutes away, will be the reason for changing lanes. We will bowl anywhere else. Today was the first day I have ever been charged full price for bowling since joining the league and it hit wrong. I bowled with my son, who is not on the league, and while checking out was informed he would be $7.99 a game. I just bought his ball, bag and shoes from Lonnie as well in December and a $100 gift card here. This has never happened as I have always been honored the league price. Thus I paid $10 for three games and he paid almost $30. This is my family, and I am looking for a lane that will not screw me or my kids over. If the pricing was right from the beginning and every time we came here we were charged full price and charged for shoes perhaps things would have ended differently. Or I wouldn’t have stayed this long………But this is so inconsistent, and one second you feel like they know you and the next one, you don’t. BTW customers don’t mind getting treated special when they are spending $30-50 a week with you on average. On behalf of me and my family, thank you to the staffers who made it an alley where my kids could take off in this sport. We will find a new one now.

  The staff was friendly, the place was clean for the most part, but the lanes did have a couple of issues. Nothing that stopped the game or fun, just lost points for some players.

  When we asked for a lane, I told the cashier we would only be doing one game as we were here with our two year old. She did not say anything at that time about 1) a single game not being an option on Saturday or 2) only half the lanes accommodating light balls for children. We ended up in a lane that did not work with light balls. When we checked out, we were told on a Saturday you HAVE to pay for two games despite leaving halfway through our first game. Ridiculous that you're making double money on the lane we vacated that someone else filled immediately, especially when we were not told a single game wasn't an option. We had recently hosted a corporate event here. That was a mistake, we certainly won't be spending any personal or business money here ever again.
