    I love REI in general, but today I asked an associate if they had flameless lighters and he didn’t even face me fully, said “no” incredibly abruptly, and didn’t look up anything. I ended up looking online, finding it, and looked around the store for like 20 minutes and eventually found it. He should speak with less confidence and offer to look something up if he is not sure.

    This is for the rentals: We used a local company for part of our trip and REI for another. While the local company gave us damaged and leaky gear and had zero professionalism. REI had much better, newer, and reliable gear and were responsive and professional. The choice when we return to Alaska is easy and we will only rent from REI.
