I walked into Golf Town expecting to buy a new driver, a 3 wood, and possibly new wedges and a putter for the season. I came in with my old Taylor-made driver in hand to have a reference point. I watched a ton of videos and was leaning towards the new Cobra X. I even bought a new glove to test out the drivers. Not only was the rep completely dismissive, but the brand-new Cobra driver still had the plastic on the face and two layers of tape, too. Then the dude said, " Peace, swing away. I'm going on break. The total lack of customer service and Cobra X being one of the hottest drivers on the market, I was extremely disappointed that I couldn't hit it without 3 layers of crap on the face. I hit 3 balls center face and had spin over 7000. I hit my old driver, and it went straighter, with less spin. Also, the guy went on break, said good luck, and left. I was willing to drop around 2,000 dollars today, but instead, I have such a sour taste in my mouth that I will never be back to the store.
I would give a 0 if possible, as I went in to the store yesterday around 6pm with a friend to see if they had any beverages to purchase since we go to the gym nearby. The white lady (staff) at the front asked my friend to put her bag down at the front despite me also having a bag. She profiled her and it felt as though we did not belong in that store. I will never be returning and I am glad they did not have any beverages to purchase, because nobody should be giving them business. As well, the male worker was condescending and basically told us to go elsewhere, really no help at all either. If you're POC it will be hard to be treated with respect here

Absolute trash simulator experience. I purchased the 10-pack of one hr simulator sessions and wished I had not done so. The mats are atrocious. Ripped and worn out, to the point where you’re almost hitting off of concrete. I mentioned this to three or four of the employees and they all laugh and say we’re getting new ones. But I’ve been hearing that for four years now. The rugs in the store are even worn out and torn and frayed. Supposedly the number one golf store in the country and they’re all starting to look like crap. I think about those who are considering buying expensive clubs and this is what is available to them to test drive those clubs. I'm almost embarrassed for Golf Town that this is the best they can do. I’ll be taking my simulator experience somewhere else that takes care of their place; Where are the mats actually look like mats that you’re supposed to hit off of.
