Two women at the front main register who could barely speak English, refused to give us the advertised discounts, which is a violation of consumer protection laws. Prices and discounts were clearly labeled on all of the rounds. I took a photo to facilitate. Then the woman had the colossal gall to GRAB my phone and try to explain to me how to do things, scrolling around without any implied or actual permission. Then, they tried to sell a credit card without telling us it was a credit card. This, too, is a violation of consumer protection laws. I objected to her taking my phone, AND SHE WAS BRAZEN ENOUGH TO CALL ME RUDE? REALLY? We suddenly felt unsafe, considering the threatening attitude, given all that our world has recently under gone. In their mumbled attempt at English, we walked away in frustration and left all of the garments on the countertop. To the personnel manager, you've got to do better than this. To the people that run JCPenney, I lament the loss of this company. You have gone the way of Sears and Montgomery Wards, et al. Enjoy your bankruptcy. We'll keep our money and we'll go shop elsewhere. We will find smaller vendors, or Amazon, or Walmart, or better yet, Boscov's!
