  Hadn’t been into a JCPenny in a decade, so I went in to look at colognes and while browsing the testers I found one I really liked, I grabbed the box it was clearly in front of and made my purchase. When I made it outside I had a gut feeling it wasn’t the same as the tester so I unpackaged it and unfortunately I was correct. I went back in and the worker was focused more on refunding my money than helping me solve the problem, I still wanted the cologne I had tried from the tester. She then tells me the wrong name a second time and walks over to put the TWO REMAINING SEALED BOXES OF THE INCORRECT COLOGNE into a drawer to take them off display instead of the tester that they didn’t have the actual product for? Now there’s a lonely unnamed tester in this aisle in this borderline baron store. After being told to check other retailers, I leave and check online, the product I wanted was $10 cheaper than the kind I was tricked into buying at JCPenny. The product I wanted was actually $23 on Walmart.com and was being upcharged to $30 at JCPenny.

  HORRIBLE Customer Service!!! I mean I have never been treated like such trash as I have been treated in this store. I was in the men's department trying to buy items for my husband and the sales people NEVER once acknowledged me. When I went to ask them a question I was looked at like I was some pest who had the audacity to speak to them. The people at check out were just as bad. Customers should be greeted and they should ask if there is anything they can do to help. I have worked retail for several years and this level of customer service is terrible.

  I had to attend a funeral, so I needed a new suit. I could only see three employees in the whole store, and they couldn't help me. After a half hour I was so disgusted that I just grabbed a pair of slacks and went looking for a cashier. When I found one, there was a sign saying it was closed and to go to another one. I found a line of about 15 frustrated people saying they were in line to check out, so I went back to the Men's section, left my slacks on top of the rack, and left. 2 hours later, I calmed down, went back, the slacks were still on top of the rack, no employees were to be found, and I went back to the only register with the line. When my turn came, they made the mistake of asking if I found everything alright....then she asked if I'd like to pay for my $110 slacks with a Penney's card. I said "No". Do yo have a Penney's card?, she asked. I said "No". Would you like to apply for a Penney's card?..."No". "It'll save you money from this purchase, even if you don't qualify' she insisted. I said "No". 'You could save over $25 on these pants'. "NO". After such a Terrible Customer Service experience, and Outrageous prices for 1 pair of slacks....I won't ever go back in that store again. And I recommend others to do the same.
