- RRRosieDec 1, 20251.0I went to the jewelry department on black Friday 11/28/25. I arrived at 8:46pm to buy a pendant for a chain I had just bought my son at another store. The store hours posted that they were open until 9pm. When I got to the jewelry counter it was 8:47pm. The sales associate, Denise, was ringing up another couple's purchase at the register. Denise looked over at me but did not acknowledge me. I waited patiently. Denise finished the other couple's transaction by 8:50pm. Denise then proceeded to walk to the other end of the jewelry counter with some papers. I continued to wait patiently since I knew the exact pendant I wanted. At 8:55pm, Denise finally acknowledged me by saying, "you know we are closed, right?" I said, "how can you be closed, I walked into the store and watched you help another person." Denise said she closed her register already, but I could go purchase something from somewhere else in the store, just not fine jewelry. I continued to be polite and asked Denise if I could purchase the pendant I wanted at the main register and she coldly said no. Denise said (with the attitude of the Grinch himself) that the only thing I could do was LOOK at the pendant and come back tomorrow to purchase it. I looked at the pendant and thanked Denise for her help. I left the store with tears in my eyes. I can understand a lot of things in this world; I myself worked in retail for a number of years. However, I cannot understand the coldness and downright unkind manner of Denise. Especially during the holiday season. I will never come to the fine jewelry department at this store again.
