I came in with my disable veteran father and 2 year old to do summer shopping, we ending up spending 600$ and would’ve spent more if it wasn’t for the staff. As we were shopping, we had a female staff member with black hair and black thin eyebrows, she came up and dragged us across the store while we were still shopping, I had to rush to keep up with her leaving my father and daughter to rush to keep up as well. I slowed down when I realized I was being lead in this interaction and tried to speak up that I was not done shopping, only to be drowned out with credit card talk. It felt like she didn’t want us to shop and just hurry up to get out of the store, at 2pm in the afternoon? We felt singled out and targeted like we were assumed to steal? We were forced to check out and the people at check out spent the next 10 minutes trying to shove the JCPenny credit card down our throat again. This whole interaction was super weird, I called the store manager to bring it to her attention and she excused the behavior as “customer service”. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had, I’ve never been made to feel this way in a store. I will be returning my items based on this interaction and again, I would’ve spent more in the store given we weren’t harassed by staff. Do better.
