  Oakwood mall is a great place with a variety of stores for all ages. I have been coming here ever since I was a child. The mall is always busy. You walk into the main entrance and find the food court (with many options) and tables which can accommodate a lot of people. It always looks and feels like a clean area. There is also access from the food court to enter into the Micon Cinema. There are areas for children and ride-ons that you can rent. I think every store space is filled. My teenage daughters enjoy coming here for Christmas shopping or randomly to find something specific. The stores that have extended hours and outside access are as listed: Hobby Lobby, Scheels and HOM Furniture with a bunch of other stores/restaurants or bar & grill options in the area. My only suggestion would be for an extension of hours. I have needed to pick something up from a store there with while traveling through the area or before/after work and assumed they were open by 10 am and open until 9pm. They are NOT! The alternate option is Target and Walmart on the other side of the highway. At least there is an alternative option it’s just not the same as getting the brands you want.

  This mall has issues regarding teenagers and high schoolers being violent and stupid. This seems to be an issue in Eau Claire and Menomonie as a whole. On several occasions we have observed and experienced under 18 year old trash harassing people or openly loitering causing disturbances in the mall. This needs to be addressed immediately. It's a matter of safety for the pedestrian traffic. At one point yesterday we observed a couple being followed and harassed by a group of nasty looking kids. Nothing was done until about 30 mins later after they were thrown out but only after this couple were threatened and shamed out of the mall. This is absolutely unacceptable behavior. What is going on in Eau Claire? Where are the parents here? Why are 14 to 16 years old walking around 🤔 without parents. You need to clean your mall up from these dilenquent people. Your mall is dying as it is... Been coming here for a long time. Maybe we need to tell everyone to get out of shopping here. Fix your issues...
