  I have bought from smith many time with nothing but good things to say. The buying side has always been good to me. I recently sold things at some of the late December 2025 auctions. The selling experience has been horrible. Drop off is pretty straight forward, but they don’t really tell you much. There isn’t a way to track online what items are yours. You get the piece of paper when you drop off and that’s it. They told me that 4 weeks after they have the auction checks are cut and mailed to the account on record, but you don’t really know which auctions they are in. The first auction was December 15th and I didn’t receive a check until February and had to call to receive that one. The second auction was December 22nd 2025 and I didn’t receive a check until March 11th. Again I had to call and this time it took about 2 weeks to get a call back on when my check would be cut. I stopped in once to inquire and they informed me all payments are handled offsite and to call the number and they would forward me to the proper people. It is as if they want you to work to get paid (trust me they don’t mess around with payment on the buying side). If I was buying items I would 100% recommend buying if there are items you wants, but for selling I would recommend looking elsewhere

  I’ve used Smith Auctions for occasional purchases, some very small and others of significant size and amounts. Their service is very good and the process to retrieve the items sold is easy to navigate.
