- TMThomas McgregorJul 24, 20231.0I have had nothing but problems with the devices that were installed into my vehicle. The calibrations have been taking close to an hour every time I go in. There are hidden fees around every corner. The devices malfunction regularly. I try and go in the mornings and often times the techs show up after the 9am posted opening time. The techs themselves are great dudes. The company is truly just operating a money grab system. It appears they don't invest anything into new, more user friendly technology. Currently sitting in the shop entering my second hour of waiting for a simple calibration. I would not recommend

What do I need to bring to my installation?
Bring a photo ID and proof of residence in the form of a document verifying your address. How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. The device then measures your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), and will either say that you passed, need to retest, or failed. You will be asked to take rolling retests throughout your drive.
What can breathalyzers detect?
Breathalyzers only measure your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC).
Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
Ignition Interlock and handheld breathalyzers both test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), but an Ignition Interlock Device is only installed in vehicles and prevents the car from starting if there is alcohol detected. A handheld breathalyzer only detects alcohol and may tell you the concentration.
Can I unplug my Ignition Interlock?

Can someone else drive my car?
