Sportsman’s has the gun I’ve been looking at on their website but it’s out of stock at this Vancouver location. I wasn’t sure if it’s something the store could transfer or they could order another one in so I called to get some info. Well let me save you the pleasure of talking to Dan because this was the response I got. “I can’t order anything in for you, and if it’s not on the website we don’t carry it! You’ll have to go to tropics pond across the parking lot.” Zero customer service skills. I am not upset by them “not being able to help me” it’s how quickly he dismissed my questions and was just frankly unfriendly and rude. So I called Cabela’s, guess who was super kind and helpful? They filled out a special order form and said they’d get back to me! Pretty unfortunate because my family has been doing business at Sportsman’s for years and even travel over a hour to buy guns at this location. Looks like it’s time to give Cabela’s some business.

Had to go there for 500 rounds of 223. There were the cheapest I could find. Also the camouflage insulation bibs i wanted was 50% off. I try to save money when I can and if you buy stuff in the office season you can find some really good deals.

Extremely disorganized. I was notified by email that my order was ready for pickup, but when I arrived, they couldn’t find it. Since it was purchased online, they said they couldn’t refund it, and I was forced to wait for a supervisor who wasn’t even there to cancel the order. Insane.

I was in the market for some kind of self defense item/tool for my girl who doesn't feel comfortable with a firearm. She had recently gone on a day trip up north and on her way back it was getting late and she needed to stop to relieve herself but the dark rest area seemed a little sketchy for a female traveling by herself. The staff at Sportsman were very helpful in showing me an assortment of none lethal items that she could use. The was not inexpensive but can you really put a price on one safety.

This was the worst experience I have ever had. I purchased Sig 1911 and after the background check and wait time I went to pick it up. Even though it was new it needed to be cleaned. I was told that it would be cleaned before I picked it up. Well, it wasn't. I was told that they didn't have time that day to clean it either, but I could leave it, and they would notify me when it was ready. I said since I was leaving it would they mount the Red dot and site it in. I was told they would. I did purchase the 5 year service policy as well. I also noted that the case was missing a latch. I was told that I could call Sig and maybe they would send me a replacement. I said no, don't you have a latch in the back. I was told no and to call Sig. I said no, go back and get one off of another case, they said we can't get another case because they have a serial number on them. I said not another case just take a latch off of another Sig case and put it on mine which they finally reluctantly did and said disgustingly, now we have to call Sig. NOt my problem. After not hearing anything for a week I called the store and was on hold for at least 15 minutes. Once someone answered he checked and said it wasn't ready but to come on in because he could have it ready in 5 minutes. I said going to clean the gun, mount the red dot and sight it in in 5 minutes. He said we can't sight it in we just align the red dot with the iron sights. I said can't you bore sight it, he said we don't have the ability to bore sight pistols only rifles. I said you don't have the ability to bore sight and he said no. So, I went to the store and waited at the gun counter for almost 40 minutes before I was helped. Then the salesperson couldn't find the gun. Finally, he found it. I was going to purchase ammo but after this experience I decided I would go somewhere else. I left with the gun and was totally disgusted with this experience and the thought that I paid extra for the extended service contract that would probably be worthless based on this experience. At this point, I don't think I will ever buy anything at Sportsman's Warehouse again.
