Waited (45) minutes in line (well before their counter closed) after driving an hour and forty five minutes to get here to pick up a pre-purchased fire arm. Turned away once finally first at the counter after watching associates dilly dally; No assistance to move the line or accommodate to make within their posted times. Buy elsewhere; not worth the effort and the bad customer service.

Oops My girlfriend and I decided to explore Bass Pro in Tacoma on our way home from a day of exploring yesterday. Tacoma is a fair distance from where we live, and we had only a cursory knowledge of the store. But we did know that they are substantially bigger than our local options and therefore, we were looking forward to the expanded selection as well. The challenge came when we hit the firearms selection. The very well-staffed firearms section. I was looking for holster options for my pistol and my girlfriend was interested in a new 9mm. The gun counter had a couple computers and a poster which displayed “save your place in line” and showcased the option to sign in and then be texted when a staff was ready to help you. Cool concept for busy times, but seemed unnecessary since there was only one other customer at the counter. There were also 6 employees. Two talking with the other customer. Four chatting amongst themselves. And then the other customer left. And still we waited. It took over 10 minutes for any of the six staff to even acknowledge our existence. When one did, he asked if we needed help, said we needed to sign into the electronic system to see any firearms in the case, and then walked away again. Seriously? Here’s why this is a problem. If you want people to sign in to see firearms, fine. That would create a record and I can see an argument for that on the business end. There should be clear signage stating customers NEED to sign into the electronic system then. Not signs that indicate signing in is only a convenience for the customer. And staff should be clear with customers and offer to get them signed in so they can quickly get to what makes the money- letting customers see the firearms and optics. Regardless, there should never be a situation where six staff members are talking and laughing amongst themselves, seeming to do zero appreciable work and “bro-ing out” while the only customers are pointedly ignored. Excluding the boats, what department in Bass Pro has bigger ticket items than firearms? Staff should be falling over themselves to help customers in that department. And yet I was offered far more help in three other departments. So, Bass Pro lost the opportunity to sell a 9mm pistol and about $150 in ammo to go with it. We might have a smaller selection of firearms locally, but they understand customer service. But I bought a $5 tick remover at Bass Pro, so I guess that was a win for them.

Gun counter employees are lazy. They don’t even help customers just disappear to back room and take a rest for 20mins every time. Also It takes 2hrs and I was in 6th line. Need audit from Management.

Large store, plenty of parking, welcoming fireplace with seating as you enter the store and rest rooms near the front (near shoes/boots area). Friendly employees greet you and acknowledge your presence as you walk through the store. Quality clothing, shoes/boots, camping, hunting and fishing gear and even boats! This one has a large aquarium in the back of the store with a small waterfall and stuffed game animals! My bride recently said (after she went alone to look for a gift), “I liked going to Bass Pro, we should go there more often.”

drove 2 hours to purchase my first firearm, super super excited it took 45 minutes to even be approached by a employee, after i was approached i was greeted with a dirty look and tons of attitude, 30 minutes go by and i asked if im going to be helped and they said maybe, 10 minutes go by and the same older dark skinned gentleman gives me another dirty look and says you will not be allowed to purchase a fire arm because we close in 30 minutes even though i waited so long at the counter, i finally snap and go over there and say am i going to be helped, he says “maybe you’ll be helped in a few minutes ” i wait another 15 minutes and just left, couldn’t buy the gun i was looking for because they took to long and everywhere else closed, i ended up stopping at Bellevue gun club on the way home and picked something up there. I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS, AND GIVE EVERY BUSINESS THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT, THIS IS THE ONE PLACE I WOULD NEVER VIST AGAIN!!!!
